1. This is what I use. http://www.rinki.net/pekka/slowmp3/ Quick and easy download and totally simple to use. It is free as well
 2. If its a piece of piss then I am a an absolute penis. Took me ages to learn this a couple of years ago. Its a master bass line by a master player. The choice of notes, phrasing and groove, together is phenomenal.
 3. Having listened to the Winery Dogs album several times, IMO Sheehan has nailed the responsibility of honouring the songs with his playing, together with shining through just enough to display his extraordinary talent. A greally good album with well crafted songs
 4. If your tired of the Tecamp I might be interested .Get well soon
 5.
I think the best version of this song is the old live version that Neil Murray plays on. If you and your guitarist can work out the chords to the bit you need, just add in some wiggily wiggily bits on the bass and it will be fine Works for me!
I like the tune, its got a great bass line. Best to go to the trouble of learning it properly and skip the wiggily bits.
 6. Stick on your headphones, listen to the tune, get to work and learn the bass line. A bit of serious and focused listening will get you over this 'mental block'. Then get out there and enjoy playing a cracking tune with your mates.
 7.
They sound almost too good to be true! Have you used them? What is their insurance like?
They are too good to be true IME. Failed to pick up on agreed date and took 6 business days to deliver from Ireland to the UK rather than 2-3 days as advertised on their website. poor, very poor
 8. I have played too many basses to mention but this one is a stand out instrument in every way. Plays like butter with killer tone. You will be sorry when its gone Paulie
 9. Really enjoyed this documentary. Always interested in the analogue V digital argument. Cannot help but to see my local "record" store is fast becoming just that. Bloody vinyl everywhere!. Really good to see. Recently I had some folk over at my place who have been raised on mp3, iPod's etc and they were blown away by the sound of vinyl.
 10.
I do love a bit of Stu Hamm but i prefer him on this. Oh yeah and Stevie Vai ain't bad too!
Prefer Ham Stew to Stu Ham every time
 11. The Winery Dogs with Billy Sheehan on Bass. great playing but really good song writing also. Love it
 12.
Never really got JE - The Who were always sort of 'just there' - can take 'em or leave 'em - and overshadowed by the likes of Led Zep. By Christ, that's all just changed since listening to this. Very inspirational stuff. Thanks to the OP for posting this.
+1. Pure genius!
 13.
Not sure it really has a perch! As much as I think it is a great sounding cab with minimal weight I do actually prefer the some what heavier HD series. There have already been several CN212's for sale on Talkbass and one on Basschat so they are clearly not for everyone. There are lots of great cabs out there, the trick is finding the one that pairs with well with your kit and delivers the tone that's in your head.
that's the trick allright. A task that is difficult to accomplish, particularly if like me you are starved of shops selling the latest pieces of kit. It's then easy to get sucked in by the online hype. Even if you do find your dream set up in some store or other, it can often fall down in a live performance situation.
 14.
Man, the 450 and 750 is all abouts mids mids mids, I've never once ever had issues with volume, tone, compression, or anything. In fact, the 450 sounded 'larger' than most the 500W similar micros.
We A/B'd the TC 450 + TC cabs with the Markbass F500 + Markbass cabs and the title went to...........Markbass by a stretch
 15.
CN212 can't go wrong one cab solution, full bottom end sweet top and punchy through the mids! A classic
Wonder will the Barefaced big twin dislodge the CN212 from its perch?
 16.
Be very, very careful about the TC RH450. It can be quite an 'immediate' sounding amp in a demo room but a total tone-sucker if not matched with the right cabs and can disappear completely in a live band mix
A mate of mine testifies to this, despite pairing it with TC cabs
 17.
I was a huge fan of them but anything after the black album in my eyes is a pile of brown steaming stuff but that's just my opinion
+1 Not only your opinion, but also the opinion of many other former Metallica fans
 18.
It may be worth mentioning, yes custom moulds are £150+, but you can make that back in 3 pub gigs. £150 or your hearing? Dan
+1 it's a no brainer
 19. Great musicians. S**t comedians
 20. For me he is a guy who likes to play the blues, but not a real blues man
 21.
Elacin ER15 fitted ones for me. Why spend any money at all on gear and none to hear it for as long as you can? The toiletpaper idea has to be one of the worst I've heard, who are you kidding?
+1. For the purposes of maintaining my sanity I assume he is taking the mick
 22.
This. If the plug doesn't fit your ear canal then it isn't doing its job fully. Foam earplugs are the best off the shelf option for this reason, though they're not ideal for music. Specsavers do custom fit jobs, for the price of a couple of effects pedals. It is a worthy investment.
This
