1. I think the light weight of the Sadowsky NYC Bass is a real selling point. Just had a mate call around with a Fender Jazz and the weight was a major turnoff. Once you go the Sadowsky route their is no turning back IMO
2. I had reason to contact Elixir via email and must say their customer support is first class. Great product and a truly great company to deal with.
3. Anyone know where i can buy some Elixir .065 D strings?. Or are they only available in full sets?

7. Had a real good 1. Packed pub and the punters really appreciated the band, which was on top form last night
8. I moved from the Little Mark 11 to the markbass f500 amp and its am much happier. i recommend looking at a used markbass F500 or F1 amp as being excellent value.
9.
their making room for decent instruments
10. 5-6 lbs is really light, lighter than any sadowsky. I use a sadowsky NYC and I can see there might be a problem when not using a strap, however I always use a strap and its not an issue. Well done with the build.
11. Cannot remove porcupine tree's deadwing from the cars cd player. Happy days
12.
Sims.... they can scan the old neck and use as a template.
That sounds like an ideal solution
13. I am considering getting a fretless neck built for a boutique fretted bass. What luthier would you recommend basschaters?
14. I had this bass out on a gig recently as paulie is a mate of mine and its simply stunning. Beautiful weight, balance, tone and a neck to die for
15. OOOH! I thought I had found a permanent solution to GAS. I was wrong
16.
Well..., no problems yet, after four years of constant use.
Good for you. The guitarist in my band and I purchased 3 of them and the auto grabs gave in on all 3. Mind you they still function as a stand as they tilt back, making it unlikely that your bass/guitar will come to any harm
17.
....or the Hercules. 18. Yea. Its great to hear a bass guitar do what its best designed for IMO, Holding down a groove with a tone like chocolate
19.
"The threshold of pain, depending on the frequency composition, is to find between 120 dB and 140 dB." A quote taken from the site linked below. If you look at the chart on that site, it gives examples of different noise levels and what causes them. As I see it, any band with guitars, drums and bass, is going to harm your hearing, unless you protect your ears. It is impossible for this type of band to play quietly enough to do otherwise.
