New Zoom B3
No problem. Rumple has very kindly offered to lend me his for a day or two, so I'll add my 2p in due course!
You can borrow it next week Mark and do a review. I'm using the Aguilar sim at home, it sounds nothing like my aguilar amp but adds a nice tone through the computer for practicing. Do amp sims really work anyway? how can a box of tricks played through various speakers or headphones really sound like say an SVT with an 8x10 cab.
2. Met up with Simon yesterday for a pint of ale and to sell him my J-Station, easy transaction and nice chat - cheers!

Don't forget you get a built in tuner, it can be used for recording via USB into your computer, has a built in looper (I have no idea how to do that looping thing ) and drum tracks to practice along to.
4. I prefer the look of a bass without front dots and don't find it a problem not having them most of the time but I have noticed it's easier to locate where you need to be when jumping from the 1st position to somewhere up the dusty end when a bass does have them, my eye must use the end of the fretboard partially as a mental marker which isn't good because I have 21, 22 and 24 fret basses and I sometime find I slightly hesitate.
5.
That's interesting - definitely a question for Bassassin!!! Funnily enough the ebay bridge I got for it is a thru-body stringing only unit, and looking at it again I reckon the string height won't be the issue I thought it would be. Think that could be the next mod....
That's the same as the bridge on mine except I don't think there's any brass it's all chrome, I don't keep that bass here at home so can't check for sure, I have thought about changing it as it's quite large.
6. Here's another pic of the neck, Lawrence says it's almost finished now so this one is a tad out of date already.
7. Just noticed that my one has has through body stringing and yours doesn't, I wonder if that was something Satalite added or took away at some point during production or mine has been modified at some point.
8. Bexleyheath's claim to fame.
9. I get my decals done here: http://thedecalshop.co.uk/ THe service is excellent.
10. Big 'thank you' to Mark and Jason. It's going to be interesting hearing how we all get on.
11. One of my regrets was selling my white maple boarded fretless Marathon, it was great.
12. Oooh count me in that's extremely generous indeed, I used to use Roto's on all my basses up until a few years ago when I changed to Musicman Regular Slinky's but would love to give Rotosound another try. R.
13. ... and the clear out continues. I have for sale a Johnson J-Station flour unit in very good condition, it does amp modeling and effects, these's seem to be pretty rare as I could only find two listed on Ebay, they came out about the same time as the first Pod's, it's ultimately a guitar unit with a few bass models thrown in, it has MIDI and SPDIF connections and comes with the original power supply instructions but no box. Great plugged into a computer to add tone to your sound or a power amp as a kinda pre amp. More info can be found here: http://www.johnson-a...om/jstation.htm £65.00 including UK postage. R.
14. Really like my MXR Octave Deluxe but now I have a multi-effects unit it's a bit of a luxury so I'm moving it on but plan to put the money towards an MXR compressor which seems the closest you can get to a rack compressor in a pedal.
15. Found this picture of it
16. I've got one of these, it's in a right old state, it's not here at the house but I'll try and get a pic and post it up at some point.
17.
Half way meet up Oxfordish, 2 hour drive a piece.
Good idea alas I have almost no spare time over the next few weeks and I doubt this beauty will be around for long.
18. That's stunning, I miss my black SR5, shame you are the other end of the country to me
19. Looks like a pretty good bridge for the money, worth a punt for sure, darn sight cheaper then a Hipshot Type A which is similar.
20. I like that, would be a great band to see live me thinks.
21. Adjusted the price downwards after a bit more research and added to the trades.
22. So no coil tapping on a Bongo? I never found it that useful on either my SR5 or Sterling but it's nice to have the option, in fact it's more useful on my cheap and chearful passive OLP then either of the MM's I owned.
