3. Really like that, nices 70's vibe and a great bassline, as mentioned before the bass is probably a bit too muffled for this type of music. Be good to hear the finished tune when it's done. R. PS Good to see some Pam Grier pics to
4. Thanks BOD2, I did wonder about the pots etc. being attached to the PCB and making the job trickier then I imagined. I hadn't thought about interference at all - good point to remember. Pete Cornish did cross my mind when this idea came to me. Cheers R.
5. I'm very tempted. I love Basschat for this sort of thing as you get other peoples input, point of view on an idea and shared technical knowledge.
6.
Exciting times ahead! Are you still going for the white to black sunburst?
Hi Lawrence, yes I decided to risk it even though it's a tough combination to do, fingers crossed it will look as nice as I believe it will.
7. Thanks for the replies. I do realise it's a bit of an odd idea I did loads of research yesterday into rack compressors then thought to myself all I need is a pedal I know well but it would be handly to have it in the space in the rack, nice and neat, all wired up, can't forget to pack it and nothing to trip over. Maybe I need to drink less coffee
8. Before I speak to my mate who is a dab hand at electronics and make a fool of myself, is it easy to say put the guts of a CS3 into a 1U rack enclosure? To explain a bit more I like the idea of having a pedal in a rack as it's cheap, simple to operate, I know what it will sound like and I can have the intrument level in and the outs on the front of the unit rather then round the back as it usually is on a rack compressor, oh and no annoying flashing lights. Cheers R.

10. Blimey only just realised there is a Twitter page for BC! - how slow am I Android app would be great.
11. Well after some hectic times sorting out the freelance business I have finally got round to doing something to progress this project, the body is being collected today by a courier to go off for refinishing. I have given up on my bespoke neck plate design as the person who was doing it for me for free just stopped getting in touch, I tried a couple of small companies but the cost was way too high, shame as I thought it would look excellent. The plan is to get a luthier to put it all together once the spray job is finished.
12.
Hi, Out of curiousity - how does the AG500 compare to the LMII soundwise? I'm using a Aguilar GS410 with a GK 1001RbII at the mo, but both AG and the LM are still on my dream rig shopping list.... Cheers
Hi, I'm not sure yet as the AG only arrived this morning and I can't really test it to band levels in a terraced house without upsetting all the neighours The LM11 is very nice and I tend to use it with no EQ dialed in it's clear and and doesn't add any character of it's own, great for bringing the natural sound of your bass out, I think the Aguilar is going to be a different beast altogether. Bought an Aguilar AG500 from Luke, great comms, amp arrived very well packaged and super fast. A joy to deal with. Cheers R.
14. The story goes I got talked into buying an AG500 to go with my Aguilar cabs so my LM11 has to go to keep the books balanced. Lovely little amp, great sounding and in excellent condition. £350.00 I would prefer pick-up from South/Central London as I'm not a fan of shipping due to the chances of damage in transit but will do so at buyers cost. Any questions feel free to ask away. R.
15. I'm a product of a 70's/ early 80's Forest Hill Boys (lack of) education. Rumour has it it's a great school with a concert theatre and recording studio's now! R. sorry for hijacking this thread op.

18.
I grew up in Crofton Park in the 70's, so the places we played were The Greyhound, The Yorkshire Grey and The Dutch House on the A20, The Swiss Cottage in Forest Hill and the New Tigers Head in Lee.
I's be interested in knowing what pub the Swiss Cottage was in FH? lived round there most of my life and keen on local history but I can't remember that name popping up. still they change so often and I have a poor memory so that's no surprise Cheers R.

Thanks for the advice all, much appreciated. I have Cubase for any muti-track live recording of the band etc. and sharing with other band members and it's great for that sort of thing. MAybe I should just dig the Atari and Emu out of the loft for any electronic stuff maybe not! R.
