1. I think this may have appeared in Bass Player Mag a while back but I gave all my copies away Any pointers as to where I could get a transcription of this fab bassline would be appreciated. R.
2.
Get yourself to the Standard in London tonight and ask him!
Or The 100 Club at the end of next month - I'll be there
3. I used a Sound City valve guitar rig in a band many years ago because it sounded better then the Peavey Combo I had at the time. at just the right volume it sounded fantastic with bass.
4. If it ends up being in SE23 it would be rude of me not to turn up R.
5. Sold a couple of old cases to Stevie, a joy to deal with. Thanks R.
6. 40 odd years old, tanished and a bit green in places, still does the job though. Send me a stamped addressed envelope and it's yours. R.

8. B .. B... BUMP for a small price drop.
9. Two knackered cases from the 70's, I have had these forever but are sitting empty so may as well go to someone who has a use for them, both are covered in stickers. One has a makeshift handle after the original came off but has working latches. The other has only one latch but decent handle. Ideal for storing a bass under the bed or maybe when shipping. Not sure if they are worth anything at all. £6 each or both for a tenner? Collection ONLY from South London. R.
10. Cheers BBass, it's a fantastic cab, too good to be sitting in the hall doing nothing. I have had a few offers but none of the trades have taken my fancy and I would like to get a bit nearer the asking price then offered so far.
11. Many moons ago I saw her band support Aztec Camera much better then the main act. R.
12.
If you can go back in the cupboard and find the rest of the Sterling I'll take it!
Sorry It's now in Belgium with a fellow Basschatter, the bass not the cupboard! It was a lovely bass to play. R.
13. I have tried a few octavers and now have an MXR Octave Deluxe and it's by far the best, I can't get mine to track as low as BTGAndy though.
14. Cheers for the refin price info. I vote for off white with a red tort pickguard. R.
15. Not wishing to hijack the thread but roughly how much is a refinish? I'm after a Lakland Skyline but don't like a lot of the limited colours, although it's wasted money I have thought about buying one and having it changed to a colour I like. R.
16. Lovely bloke to deal with, sorry I didn't have time to chat more. R.
17.
MB1. ..Is it 3 ply?(white black white sandwich)..
Yup
18. BassJase - strikes again.
19. I found this pickguard in the cupboard I was clearing out today, it came off my Sterling when I replaced it with a black one. so I think it's an original Musicman one, although as the bass was secondhand I can't promise it is. how do I tell? No idea what it's worth so I'll start at [s]£20 [/s] £16 posted Royal Mail 1st Class.
20. I have a box full of Bass Player Magazines from the last few years in a box ready to go out for recycling if anyone wants to come and collect them from Sydenham, South London they are welcome to them. it's a form of recycling I guess R.
