  1. Found this today in amongst some song books, the drum machine is long gone, I thought I'd stick it up here for a week before putting it in the recycling bin just in case it's useful to someone.
  2. I bought this a couple of years ago but in the end I didn't need it so it's remained in a bass case, the packaging hasn't even been opened. Quality Van Damme cable, Neutrik connectors. see pics for full info. Price includes UK mainland postage. please note I usually can only get to a post office on a Saturday morning. PICS
  3. Fave bass, best colour scheme on a YOB bass but I'll just have to be satisfied with looking at the pictures sadly.
  4. His Name is Tim and he's bald, really nice bloke who's just joined a local covers band, ring any bells?
  5. Very interesting stuff, I bought my 1st bass (a P Bass copy) from Len Styles, I'm sure Tune In still has one of it's shops in Lee Green! It shows up on Google Maps HERE
  6. Yes that's the place! me and my mate used to go there a lot back in the day, just to browse mostly I don't think I ever bought anything from them due to being young and skint.
  7. Thanks, it was made for me from a body I had bought that my late Great Uncle added a thin but pretty veneer to, it sat in the loft for nearly 2 decades before I finally had it made in to a bass a few years ago. I have a love hate relationship with it. The bridge is a Hipshot A Type. i agree that Westone is cool, I lusted after one just like it in a local-ish music shop in Rushey Green back in the day.
  8. As requested more up to date pictures can be found HERE
  9. Minto, is that a special edition? I would have expected it to be green
  10. The only time this has worked in my favour is Amazon selling the digital download of James Martyn's The Island Years for less than £2. it worked out at about 10p and album! it was soon removed.
  11. I managed 1min 8s before bailing out. I didn't think there could be a worse version than the one me and a mate did at a X-ray department Christmas review back in the 80's but I was wrong, very wrong!
  12. Definitely, I Want You Back by The Jackson 5 is one of his classic lines, I love it
  13. Wilton Felder played a lot of the Jackson 5 bass lines, I'm not sure if that one is him though.
  14. I guess I'm somewhere inbetween, I like PDF's as I exclusively use my desktop computer to play through when practising.

Finding the HPF info very interesting, must set one up myself.
  16. When it's done post a pic HERE as well
  17. I've been meaning to see Aynsley live for a while now but never quite managed to do so, maybe 2018 will be the year!
  18. Looking good so far, I'm a big fan of medium scale basses.
  19. You could pick up a second hand Zoom ms60b, I use one as a compressor and tuner plus you have tones of other effects and amp sims if you ever need them.
  20. Nope not off the peg, interestingly it has a thin layer of clear resin on the fingerboard, not very organic but it works very well, I'll try and show it in future pictures. the bass weighs a tonne!
  21. I'll be glad to take some more (up to date) pics once I can get to my camera again, it's buried away at the mo'. The picture I posted is quite old as it shows the original East Filter based pre-amp that was so noisy I removed it and made the bass passive VVT, it also still has the Hipshot Ultralites that were badly fitted so I put some generic Fender style ones on instead.
  22. Thank you I had it made for me, it has a family connection in that my late Gt Uncle added the fancy top to a Jazz Bass body for me in the early 90's, years after he died I finally got around to having a bass made out of it.
  23. Welcome to BC, lots of valuable info here for you to learn from.
