  1. I'll be glad to take some more (up to date) pics once I can get to my camera again, it's buried away at the mo'. The picture I posted is quite old as it shows the original East Filter based pre-amp that was so noisy I removed it and made the bass passive VVT, it also still has the Hipshot Ultralites that were badly fitted so I put some generic Fender style ones on instead.
  2. Thank you I had it made for me, it has a family connection in that my late Gt Uncle added the fancy top to a Jazz Bass body for me in the early 90's, years after he died I finally got around to having a bass made out of it.
  3. Welcome to BC, lots of valuable info here for you to learn from.

    best value DAW

A few years ago I tried Reaper and found it to be much more user friendly than the version of Cubase I was using at the time so switched and I haven't looked back, not that I do much recording these days.
  5. Very generous of you and I like how you've done it, I'd love to see more
  6. Here's mine
  7. link works fine as far as I can tell, here's the pic.
  8. If you want it shell pink you might be better off buying a Flea signature body from Stratosphere ( LINK ) and selling the sunburst body, it would certainly be cheaper than a decent respray.
  9. I never wanted to play covers but I have to admit doing so has made me a far better player, I've had to improve rather that stay within my limits.
  10. Welcome to BC Deco.
  11. 32" scale would usually be classed as a medium scale neck, I'm just mentioning it as it could help with your sale
  12. Well done, that's a decent chunk of change I told my drummer friend about this, he lives in Hoddesdon and was going to pop along but maybe he didn't make it due to the weather.
  13. I also had an OLP SR5, I especially liked the neck, it was lovely to play.
  14. These have been on my fretless for about 11 month now but only played lightly for about 30 minutes max, I really wanted to love them but they are not for me and I've gone back to round wounds. Cut for a Fender style headstock, in excellent condition, silks not frayed at all. £28.00 posted to the UK mainland.
  15. Price drop before it goes on Ebay.
  16. Wow! that's amazing, thank you for sharing.
  17. Another Pre amp I bought for a project bass but I ended up keeping it passive instead, I picked it up on here a couple of years ago but I have never installed it. It's a copy of a pre Ernie Ball Musicman preamp. More info can be found HERE £40.00 posted to the UK mainland.
  18. The Roadworn Jazz I had was lovely to play, the best Fender I've ever owned.
  19. Rhythm Stick for me as well, at 90% speed I can almost do it but any faster and I always trip up, usually stumbling over the pushed 1st note of the riff.
  20. Now only £6, I'll take it to the charity shop if there's no takers.
  21. I tend to use one bass and leave my tone setting alone, using the thumb to pluck along with some palm muting gives me that old school sound on the songs that need it.
  22. Brooklyn nine-nine it's only short though
  23. I have that 45 somewhere, must dig it out.

    Tort rant

I find it odd that you can buy cheap Celluloid guitar picks that look reasonably close to vintage tort but it is so hard to find a nice reasonably priced scratchplate.
  25. A Limelight P with a J neck sounds light it might be what you need unless it has to be a proper Fender.
