1.
Very early Sterlings did have that bridge with the mutes. Potential bargain there for someone.
Ah, I didn't know that
 2. The weird thing is it has a bridge with mutes like a pre EB Stingray, the tuners look older than the body and neck as well. Bids at £88 well worth looking at if you are local.
 3.
Deactivate your slap filter
4. Everything is so cheap these day which is both a blessing and a curse
 5. Straight on the Christmas list - cheers
 6. If any of you are on Twitter then you can follow the archive HERE
 7. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before? it's a huge collection of digitized 78's that are downloadable. I've just had a listen to some Ray Brown and a version of Tiger Rag by Muggsy Spanier HERE
 8. Great work, really looking good so far.
 9. Clearly has a MIM serial number but he's insistent that his one is US made due to the neck plate! HERE
 10.
pics link no worky, just get a blank screen?

Working OK for me tom
Working OK as far as I can tell, PM me your e-mail address if you still have problems viewing them and I'll ping them over to you.
 11. I'm far from a Fender expert but I'd guess it's was originally a red 62 RI Strat that's had the finish removed and an aftermarket trem fitted.
 12.
I might be able to post pics of a more messed-up bass tomorrow...
go on then!
 13.
This is a beautiful amp in showroom condition. I'm sure you've considered it, but it might be worth adding it to Gumtree. I sold a similarly aged amp and had a huge amount of interest in it.
Thank you, TBH I've never bought or sold anything on Gumtree I'll certainly give it some thought though.
 14.
You should re-name the sale to "Punk Ready" bass.
True I was probably into punk when I got this!
 15. Thanks for all the comments.
 16.
I remember quietly lusting after these when they were brand new, in 1980. Cost £99 and a combination of not having the money and the bass having "Satellite" on the end meant it didn't happen, despite being the cheapest through-neck bass in the world. Finally got one about 10 years ago, a proper fixer-upper, from BCer geoffbyrne. Pretty decent bass allround, if you're OK with the baseball-bat neck & backache! MIK rather than MIJ, I think, like all the Satellites I've seen. Definitely worth £65, no bother.
Thanks, changed the listing to say MIK
 17. I can't remember when I bought this but I know it came from a junk shop in Catford, probably late 80's when I only had the one proper bass and I used to leave it at the rehearsal venue in central London, it meant I could practice at home, not long afterwards the band split up and this went in my Grandad's loft where it's more or less stayed ever since. I believe it's a Satellite and MIK and as you can see from the pictures it's had a very very hard life! if I'm honest some of that was me but a lot of it was how I bought it. most of the issues are cosmetic but there's a dodgy spring on the bridge that pokes out the back, the replacement brass nut is a tad too long and a lot too wide. The neck is very chunky, 40mm at the nut, and it's a proper boat anchor at 10lbs. On the plus side it sounds really good, stays in tune and the action is pretty low, strung with through the body with an ancient set of Rotosounds. £65.00 collected from SE London add £20.00 for postage in a nasty old gigbag. 18. Jim Bought my SD Antiquity P bass pickup, super smooth and quick transaction from a top BCer.
