Loking for help on a Telecaster or similar....
Rumple replied to rwillett's topic in Other Instruments
Shameless self promotion I know but I have a nice Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster neck for sale in the 'Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale' section that might make your Project Tele more playable? There is also a good looking cheap red Stratocaster copy in the same section ( that has nothing to do with me 🙂 ) that might be worth a punt st £50, I was tempted with that myself! -
I think @PaulThePlug is having it.

Going in the bin in the next few days.

Had to empty the loft to have the flue checked and found this, gawd knows how long it's been up there but looks like it's never been used. A few marked here and there from being shunted about the loft and the felt that the Velcro sticks to could do with looking at as it's a bit loose in a couple of places. Comes with a strip of Velcro £20.00 £15.00 Collected from Sydenham in SE London or possibly meet up at a Central London station. PICS HERE R.

I recently sold my old Art Tube Mic Pre, over the years I've used it with both bass and guitar and you can get a bit of tube warmth and even over drive it a bit, I'll probably regret selling the thing but at the moment I don't have a use for it, they are only 12v AC so nothing like a proper tube amp but cheap enough to consider giving one a try.

Me too and I'm only a stones throw away now 😄

I used to play a fretless Shergold Marathon in an originals pop/rock band in the late 80's without issue. I was listening to some tapes from that band decades later and heard a rare slide during a break in rehearsals up until then I had forgotten it was the fretless I used.

Heard this for the first time earlier today on 6Music, the radio was only on quietly but the bass jumped out immediately.

Sorting out the loft and I found this vacuum sealer I used to use for air tight storage of hops back when I did home brewing, it's of no use to me now. Worked the last time it was used, comes with a couple of rolls of part used 'bags'. Free collected from Sydenham in SE London or I can send it via Yodel if you pay the postage. R.

Not only is there no opt out option but even if I begrudgingly press 'Got it' it reappears the next time I visit BC, it was even in French one time!

Welcome to BC.

The parts clear out continues, I can't see me using this neck any time soon so it may as well go to a new home. 2010 CV Telecaster neck In excellent condition, nice dark fingerboard, vintage style tuners. £130.00 £115.00 £110.00 delivered to the UK mainland via Yodel, a bit less if you would like to collect it from Sydenham SE26. PICS HERE SOLD ON EBAY R.

Many thanks for the info, it sounds like a few mods would certainly be the way to go.

I Have a slight hankering for one of these despite some reviews being less than favourable, anyone got any updates to add about their experiences owning one?

Squier CV Jazz Bass neck in reasonable nick, I've had it on a Precision Bass body and it made a lovely pairing but I'm sticking to medium and short scale basses going forward so this is now surplus to requirements. See picture for the condition, a few small nicks on the headstock, nut worked fine for me but I notice it isn't in pristine condition, fretboard is a nice dark one. £135.00 Collected from Sydenham SE London or meet up at London mainline station, another fiver to post via Yodel. Pics HERE R.

Capri Orange Fender made in Mexico Precision Bass body in excellent cosmetic condition, I can't see any dings but there is some damage to couple of the scratchplate mounting lugs, one had a repair from by the previous owner, nothing terrible and obviously this is usually totally unnoticeable as it is covered by the scratchplate. The orange isn't bright and in your face it's more subtle, hopefully this picks up in the photos. To be clear the body is a genuine Fender, I believe it's from the Player Series. The off white/cream scratchplate is a generic one as is the bridge, the pickup is the well respected Tonerider, home made wiring with full sized pots and an old Paper In Oil capacitor. I had this paired with a Jazz Bass neck for my ultimate Precision setup, as nice as it was I have decided to stick to medium and short scale basses going forward. Loaded £175.00 / unloaded £150.00 - collected from Sydenham in SE London or meet up at a London mainline station, delivery via Yodel would be another fiver. I might trade against a Squier Mustang bass or Epiphone Newport bass. Pics HERE R.

I've had this for many years and used it on and off as a passable very basic headphone amp for guitar rather than a mic pre-amp but now I have a mini amp head incoming so may as well move this on. Generally in good cosmetic condition but the bottom does have quite a few scratches and 4 Velcro dots. The included 'wall wort' 12vac power supply is probably a generic one and not the original. £36.00 £30.00 delivered to the UK mainland. PICS HERE

Welcome to BC from nearby Sunny (at the moment) Sydenham. R.

For guitar I'm going back to using a multi-effects units so here's another pedal that needs a new home. Such a great sounding and very useful pedal, as well as delay you can load a Toneprint, it also does looping neither of which I have tried though. In great condition, £70.00 £60.00 delivered to the UK mainland. Pics HERE R.

I believe you did indeed have my sunburst Fender 32" scale Jazz as well 🙂
-
I had that Precision for a while and I also regret selling it, I got it from the guy you sold it to, I have a Squier JV 32" Jazz and mistakenly decided to keep that instead. I sold the P to @therealting who I imagine still has it.

I saw them for the first time on Saturday in Crystal Palace Park, Glen on bass and Debbie not sounding too shabby on her ??th Birthday, I'm not a massive Blondie fan or anything but enjoyed the gig. Generation Sex also played so there were three Sex Pistols on the same bill just not in the same band 🙃
