1. I sold Ralph my Fender Telecaster HH, we met up for a beer in Clapham to do the deal which made for a smooth and laid back transaction, lovely chap. Thanks Ralph and enjoy the guitar. R.
2. I've just found these unused 4P4T rotary switches in the 'bits box' that will never be used so I may as well move them on, I bought them for a long forgotten project, On the down side they are rather large Height is 52mm and width is 42mm including the lugs UNFORTUNATELY THEY ARE TOO BIG TO FIT IN A BASS GUITAR. Feel free to ask any question but bare in mind I know nothing about electronics. £7.00 delivered. 3. Thanks for the history, you've done some very interesting stuff, getting voted 'single of the week' by Noddy Holder is priceless
4. Welcome to Basschat, maybe you could give us some more info on your career in the 90's as a pro bass player I'm sure some of us would find it interesting
5.
Generally thought you were taken the piss with the cardboard layout for a moment there , Thankyou for finding that, I've spent a hour looking around but naturally stuff will fall through the net
6. I found THIS listing on Ebay for CTS pots all wired up and ready to go with solderless connections. Good luck with your build.
7. Welcome to Basschat. I kinda like that Fixer, I'm a sucker for black and white basses
8. I bought a SD SR5 pick-up from Mark, he was so easy to deal with and the pick-up is like new
9.
Hello, now that's a handsome specimen! Am I right in thinking both pickups are tappable?
Hi There, yes the pickups are tappable, you pull up the tone knob for single coil, it's very versatile.
10.
Happy New Year, Rumple!
Same to you Andy!
11. I've always been drawn to these and it's an itch that needs scratching at some point, if this is still around when/if my Telecaster sells I'll be very tempted, in the mean time have a bump on me
12.
Argggggghhhhh!! The bloody Feds! http://forums.ernieb....html#post46505 https://www.talkbass...k-co-uk.326027/
Thanks for that, as a side note I also learned what OBBM stands for
13. I joined Bassworld just as it was self destructing, I wanted to buy an EBS Neo 212 and there was a member who had one for sale, TBH I can't remember what it was like except that PM's didn't work very well at all
14. The Classic 5 I owed for a while was absolutely lovely but ultimately I found the lack of contouring on the body a bit uncomfortable and I prefer unfinished or a satin finish to necks so I moved it on and went back to SR5's.

Compressors

You could modify the CS-2 you have to improve it a bit, these guys will do it for you, I've not used them before I just stumbled across their web site. http://www.pedalmods.com/mods/boss/boss-cs2.html Monte Allum does a kit if you are handy with a soldering iron. http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html I modded a CS3 using one of his kits and it made a big difference.
16. I bought an John East Mids Module from Roman, he was easy to deal with, good comms, nicely packaged.... what more could you ask for
17. Here are mine, One is an unknown P Bass body with a Limelight Jazz width neck, lollipop tuners, Celluloid pickguard, SD Vintage pickup... The other is a Squier Jazz Bass Body I sprayed gold, Sandberg Bridge, J&D neck and tuners.....
18. I bought this about a year or so ago to encourage me to become a better guitarist, unfortunately it didn't help and has only been picked up about a dozen times and strummed for a few minutes so is in new condition, I have the tags. Lovely guitar that's pretty flexible as the humbuckers can be coil tapped to get a more traditional Tele sound. I don't have a case for this so I'm very reluctant to ship it, so collection from Sydenham in SE London is best or possible meet up at Victoria, Clapham Junction or London Bridge Station. £325.00 I might be up for trading against a Musicman 4 string bass, Jazz bass, Classical guitar, block and bound Jazz Bass neck, medium scale bass. 19.
USA SR5 for under £600 cmon!!!!! Bargain of the week!!
Thank you for the kind words, in fairness it's not 100% USA but I've owned six SR5's over the years and this one will be the hardest to part with.
