I think the pickup route for the MM pickup is oversize,

Ah that makes perfect sense!
I look forward to seeing more pictures in the future and this build coming together.
I'm undecided about the pickguard, I think I'd probably not have one if it were my build, but that's just personal taste the rest of the spec sounds very good, what finish are you going for on the body?
A mate convinced me to go to this gig and book the tickets but now he's off to Cambodia on a motorbike tour instead! so I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in 2 tickets at face value plus a little towards postage, I'll swallow the coat of the booking fee.
£32.50 each
£3.00 postage.
I stumbled across the video while testing my Kodi systems internet connection this morning and I was transfixed for the full 9 odd minutes, much better than his other recent stuff, the video was most disturbing, in a good way.

I've used them and the finish they did for me was fantastic.

I saw on classicandcool website that a White 66 JB was on the way...

Interesting, at the time I enquired about a dot and bound neck Mark said he couldn't do it.

On the bear rocks website , nothing there either on their radio player

Most annoying if it used to work OK.
Just a thought but if it's just the glossy look you don't like you could lightly sand the finish with fine wet and dry or wire wool, I did this to a natural Jazz Bass years ago and it looked great, the bonus is it can be buffed back to gloss again should you fell the need.

what's annoying about them?
[/quote]
Nothing major at all, it just the fact it's the only bass or guitar I have with reverse winding tuners so when I play it I inevitably turn them the wrong way, it's one aspect of the bass I wouldn't have made period specific but that's just personal taste.
It's by far the best Jazz bass I've owned.
I replaced the pickguard on mine for a mint one.
The only thing I'd do to change the bass if money were no object is replace the reverse tuners, not a major problem they are just a bit annoying.
I had a similar situation about 6 months ago with pickguard from America that went AWOL, I'd take all the info you have to your local sorting office on a quiet day and see if you can get to the bottom of it.
