That's a nice fingerboard, it's got some pretty figuring. Luthiers often laminate necks as it a good way to stop them warping.

I'm undecided about the pickguard, I think I'd probably not have one if it were my build, but that's just personal taste the rest of the spec sounds very good, what finish are you going for on the body?

I stumbled across the video while testing my Kodi systems internet connection this morning and I was transfixed for the full 9 odd minutes, much better than his other recent stuff, the video was most disturbing, in a good way.

I've just tried the app on my phone and it worked fine for me, listened to a US sixties station and UK 80's one.

Just a thought but if it's just the glossy look you don't like you could lightly sand the finish with fine wet and dry or wire wool, I did this to a natural Jazz Bass years ago and it looked great, the bonus is it can be buffed back to gloss again should you fell the need.

It's by far the best Jazz bass I've owned.

I replaced the pickguard on mine for a mint one. The only thing I'd do to change the bass if money were no object is replace the reverse tuners, not a major problem they are just a bit annoying.

I'm liking that Fernandes and that's coming from someone who's not much of a fan of sunburst basses.

I had a similar situation about 6 months ago with pickguard from America that went AWOL, I'd take all the info you have to your local sorting office on a quiet day and see if you can get to the bottom of it.
