It's coming along nicely.

I'm a bit of a repeat customer of Nicks I've just bought a Sandberg bridge from him, it arrived quickly, comms were great and the bridge is in 'as new' condition.

Just listening to some live Eurythmics, there's lots of nice 80's octaved fretless Steinberger bass action going on

I can't help with spec I'm afraid but I'll be watching this build diary with interest, if the necks Kiwi had for sale were 5 string one's I'd have snapped one up!

He did reply quickly to my initial enquiry but as there was some question over him being able to get a dot and bound neck and lollipop tuners he said he's get back to me but never did, The GAS has passed a bit now so it's saved me a few quid.

Nice choice of colour I contacted Mark a while back about a light relic 66 Jazz in Shoreline Gold, he said he's look into it but never got back to me.

I like the fact he's honest about the amp in a humorous kinda way.

It would be handy if you could see some of the Luthier's previous work before committing to a build.

Tricky decision, I have found that some of the combinations sound very similar to each other. Are you in a position where you could try the 6 way switch as a test then if you don't use certain settings re-wire those ones or drop down to a 4 way using the best sounds?

I have a passive bass with 2 hunbuckers each connected to a 4 position rotary switch. 1. Off 2. Single Coil 3. Parallel 4. Series Lots of combinations producing a huge variation in tones from a passive set-up, it's a bit different from what you are after doing I admit.

Just received a Joyo pedal from Jon, a very smooth transaction, pedal was well packed and in excellent condition.

It's one of my 'go to' tunes for a bit of fun whilst practising at home, I've never played it with the band though due to the singer not really being the shouty type

I worked just around the corner from The George for over nine years and often popped in for a pint or 3, it was the last Luton pub I visited on the way home when I left the company. Good luck with the gig.
