1. I have one that I use for fun and practising but I don't use it with the band, if I tried that both the guitarists would probably turn up with Ditto Loopers the following week!
2. I bought a Tanglewood Travel Bass from Gareth, he kindly brought it up to London from Hants to do the deal in person rather then risk posting it, we meet up for a couple of beers and a chat in Clapham, all in all a very pleasant and smooth transaction from start to finish R. PS good luck with the driving test.
3. Apologies for going slightly off topic but I think it's for a good reason I once owned an ORANGE Roscoe Century Std 5 string Serial# A087, I sold it on Basschat but can't remember who to, I've recently found the letter that came with it when it was new in 2009 and thought the owner might like it, if you have it or know who has it then drop me a PM so I can send them the letter if they want it.
4. I had an Overwater Perception made for me a few years ago and when it arrived one of the tuners had a chip in the black coating, they sent me a replacement, this is the chipped one, no idea what brand it is, apart from the chip it's almost new and might be useful to someone??? Sorry for the poor phone photo but you get the idea
5. Weird one this but I found the original 2009 letter that came with a bright orange Roscoe Century Std 5 string I owned for a while, I bought it here on Basschat, sold it on here then I think it got sold again, anyway I thought it would be nice if the owner of that bass (Serial number A087) had the letter so if you have it or know who does then let me know and I'll send it on to them. R.
6. Having a clear out and most of the DVD's are off to the charity shop this week but this one is well worth moving on to the bass community. Come with the book of dots/TAB, the plastic on the outside of the case has gone a little wrinkly but otherwise it all good. £9.75 delivered to the UK mainland and I'll also throw in a Flea instructional DVD for free R.
7. Tricky thing to do on the cheap. I've not tried one but this thing is a cheap headphone amp, it has no tone controls but you could put a cheap graphic eq pedal before it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400714349538?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
8. More clearing out of cupboards and draws going on today and this gem was uncovered, it's the Joni Mitchell concert of the Shadows and Light album, great concert even though you don't see Jaco's playing much, you obviously hear it though I imported this from Japan back before the days of Amazon and Ebay! it was pretty expensive, you can now get the concert for a tenner on Ebay but for some reason that eludes me this Japanese DVD seems to up for between £30 and £45 quid which is probably what I paid for it. I'll stick it up on Ebay as an auction and see what I get for it but I thought I may as well see if any Basschatter wants it for £20.00 before I list it. Any questions I'll be glad to try and answer them, and if anyone knows why it's worth more then the later general release I'd be interested to know the answer. Thanks R.

10.
Hi all... this is a great bass... I have relic it and upgraded with FATBOY Jazz Bass Pickups... Strings Flatwound (D'addario Chrome)... I'm a professional and I use this bass regularly in my gigs. Strongly recommended! Greetings from Italy. Andrea
Have you been to the Stax Museum? I'd love to go there one day.
11. I got the chance to play this yesterday, sadly not through an amp as I don't have one any more but even acoustically it sounded good and is a real work of art.
12. I recently put mine up for sale but after returning it to EADG strings I fell in love with it all over again and have decided to hang on to it, it looks great has very low action and sounds superb! I'm thinking about getting some lightweight tuners as the bass is heavy and the neck slimmed down a little as it's a bit chunky for me.

feedback for Deedee

I sold Dan my Gramma Pad, super fast payment and great comms, a joy to deal with. R.
14. I've sold my amp and cab and this excellent cable is now no use to me, it's probably a couple of years old but has hardly been used. OBBM made with 2 Neutik Speakon connectors and approx 1m of Klotz LY240T cable. £8.50 delivered to the UK mainland, slightly less if you want to collect it for Sydenham in South London.
15. Well I decided to put it back to EADG to help with the sale and have fallen in love with it again! sounds bloody excellent and has possibly the lowest action I've ever had on a bass some lightweight tuners and a bit of slimming on the neck and it could be a keeper.
16.
Could you give the measurements between fixing holes please?
As best as I can tell I make it 21mm across the thin end and 24mm across the fat end plus 39mm top to bottom, I measured from the outer most edges of each hole. Hope that helps
17.
This used to be mine! Great bass, very hot pickups. You won't get much better for £90!
Thanks I was very surprised at just how darn good a bass it is.
18. I bought this a little while ago from Mark (Discreet) mostly because I love the look of it, I used the excuse that I had to have it so I could try out a 4 string tuned BEAD, plus the fact that Mark only lives down the road from me made it an easy transaction Jump forward a few months and although it was a fun experiment if I need a low B I use a 5 five string so this beauty needs a new home. Here's a link to some more info and pics on the original ad placed by Mark, I hope he doesn't mind me using his pics http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 We did a deal and he kept the case and the DR strings. Since getting the bass I have very very slightly widened (depth unaffected) the slots in the nut to take a light gauge BEAD set of new D Addario strings, I'm sure it will go back to EADG without any problem at all, as I bought a 5 sting set of strings for this experiment I'll include the G string should you wish to return it to normal tuning. In over all great nick, sounds good, plays well with medium to low action, the neck is quite chunky for a Jazz, I prefer slimmer necks but not everyone does. Come with tatty old gig bag. £90.00 collected from Sydenham in South London, I don't have the packing materials or a case to send via courier so sorry it's collection only. Any questions drop me a PM.
