1. There's a strong possibility I shall be in the West Midlands (DY14 9TA) on Sat 19th July visiting a relative and I could take the cab with me so it could be collected from there.
2.
I was talking to Nick Smith (Doctor of the Bass) recently - he was praising the merits of these - I'm more than happy with the 112MNT that I've got.
Yes they are amazing sounding and looking cabs
3. I've played this bass and it's sounds bloody amazing
4. Control cavity has been routed, holes drilled to connect the control cavity to the pup ones and a cover made that will be painted the same colour as the body. Here's one pic, I've run out of space so need to clear some old pics from basschat to make room for new ones.
5.
Wow, that looks like fairly radical surgery!
The body I bought was very only roughly shaped and finished so it would have needed a lot of tidying up anyway, I asked Dave to reduce the body size a bit if he could to save on weight, if all the calculations are right it will reduce it quite a bit which is good because the Delano pups weigh one pound! something I hadn't thought about when amassing the parts for this build.
6. Yay! Dave has made a start on the bass. "Taken 4mm off the body width to reduce weight 10%. Re Routed the radius on the edge of the back side after taking 4mm off. Routed out the control cavity to go right through the body for rear access. Made an infill bit to fill the control cavity at the top and glued it in." 8. Great idea, I once thought about doing a Jazz Bass scratchplate in Beano pages.
9. Lovely work. I can't wait to hear some sound clips - hint hint
10. They look like superb basses judging by the pics I've seem and I'd be happy to own one with a Limelight logo, well assuming he gets the aesthetics of the decal right
11.
What do you suggest? Rhythm Stick?
That would count me out then, I can only play every other note if I try to play it up to tempo
12. A few years ago I sold my EBS cab to a kid who lived next door to him, can't remember his name but I'm sure he said he had had a go on the blue Jazz and it was hard to play because of the very high action that Herbie prefers.
13. Dave popped in today to deliver my RW Jazz back to me that he has done a lovely job of repairing We got to chatting about the Dirty Pink Jazz 5 and at his suggestion for sound reasons of both economics and logistics I've made a few changes to the spec, I'm now going to keep the blocks that are already on the neck and forgo the binding, Dave measured my SR five neck to get dimensions for slimming the neck down to something I'm more comfortable with. Dave's on the look out for a company to mix the paint colour as it doesn't seem to quite match any standard RAL colours, which in my book is a good thing as long as it doesn't make it too expensive. Work should start in a few weeks time, he will be doing the body 1st.
14.
Still for sale? Just started the hunt for a decent lightweight cab to go with a Little Mark 3, and the guy I bought the Little Mark from raved about Vanderkley, so.....
Yes it's still available, I haven't had time to 'bump' the thread, the cab is happily occupying prime position in the middle of the spare room at the moment, not everyone happy about that

Looks very nice. I'm quite fond of an S1 switch on a Jazz.
16. I had a read of the TalkBass thread, interesting stuff.
17. That's very interesting indeed, thanks for the info funkle
18. Here's mine
19. Shocked and stunned this is still here! Have a B... B... B... BUMP on me
20.
the high pass filter on the Fishman model is difficult to get without buying an actual HPF (eg thumpinator, etc).
Hmmm.... so this works like a Thumpinator? brill if it does.
21. Nothing wrong with the compressors in the Zoom IMO, saying that I use a separate MXR as I like seeing the meter
22. I sold Gonzalo a set of 5 string Bart Jazz Bass pups, fast payment, a very smooth transaction and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks R.
