1. Thanks everyone for your help, I'll do some more research this afternoon once the hangover subsides
2. So doctor... Actually a serious question about Musicman SR5 knobs, to my cost I've just found out that the shafts on SR5's are bigger then the holes in all the replacement knobs I can find online, I guess I could drill the holes out from 6mm to 8mm but wondered if you can actually get replacement ones anywhere?
3. Bought a set of knobs from Cliff, easy transaction and a joy to deal with. Thanks
4. Bridge and tuners arrived today, I didn't realise black Hipshot bridges are matte not shiny Pick-ups will be finished today and Allan will send them out on Tuesday, I'll take some pics once they arrive.
5.
It only means that I expect the summer to end in a couple of days..lol
So it's not just the English who are obsessed with the weather
6.
Men den tar vel slutt til helga..
I have no idea what that means but it sounds rude ...... where's Discreet?
7. Thanks clauster, I agree it's boutique quality in a Boss shell.
8.
My 1990 SR4 with a new Status neck . . . zingtastic!
Very nice indeed, one day I'll do an SR5/Status
9. So in my continued streamlining stint I have decided to cut the compressor collection down, this is a Made In Taiwan Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer that has been modded with a Monte Allums Opto kit which turns an OK compressor into an excellent one, it now punches well above in weight. The mod was done by my mate who's ex Racal and did radar electronics for them. It's a well used pedal with some chips, scratches and Velcro on the bottom, I can post pictures on request. www.monteallums.com [s]60.00[/s] 50.00 including postage to the mainland UK
10. How's you build coming along Jim? Not that I've got a vested interest in it's completion
11. If it were me I'd replace one or other of the J pups with the MM, if you did the neck one and got a new scratchplate then you could always go back to standard JJ configuration in the future, although I have to say it looks quite cool in pink with the 3 pups
Just got mine and started playing. I am a novice but this seems to be a great item...takes some practice but awesome sound
TIP: have a look for the 'Mix' setting if you find a sound that's a bit on the weak side, most/some of the effects are factory set at a 50% of effect and straight tone with no effect I believe. Have fun
13. Work has started on building the pups. Bridge and tuners are now in stock so I should get those early next week.
14.
Any love for a trade of another SR5 plus a little cash?
I was kinda trying to thin the herd a little but I am fond of SR5's, maybe PM the the details of what you have and the deal you were thinking of and I'll have a think about it
15. There has been some more interest on this recently here on Basschat but it's still available and going back on Ebay soon.
16. A I have to go to the post office tomorrow and it would save me a trip if someone bought this now BUMP
17. Here's a couple of short sound clips, one of a pre installed patch that I quite like, it's a squelchy synth sound called The Owl, it the only built in patch I really like, the second short clip uses my fave effect in the pedal the Bass Pitch with some heavy compression from the 160 Comp. https://soundcloud.com/ditd/sets/testing-the-zoom-ms-60b-pedal Apologies but for some reason Soundcloud keeps on playing, so once the few seconds of MS-60B clips finish it will start playing other things I have uploaded in the past - it's quite annoying.
18. Up for sale is my Boss OC-2, Made In Taiwan, it has some chips and scratches in the finish and the rubber grommet is missing from where the screw for getting into the battery compartment meets the body, there's also a bar code sticker on the bottom. I can post pictures on request tomorrow if required. £65.00 including UK mainland postage for some classic sub octave goodness
19. In excellent condition and will come in the original box, no manual though. It's the full sized one not the mini. I can post pics tomorrow of the actual unit if required but there's not a mark on it. £48.00 including postage in the UK.
20. This morning I had half an hour to spend with the MS-60B, most of that time was spent re-watching dood's video rather then reading the manual I had a B3 for a while so I was familiar with the sounds and more then happy with them for my purposes, it's a bit more fiddly to use then the B3 but that's to be expected with so much crammed into a small pedal, I'll probably still use my Diamond compressor but along with the MS it's all I need effects wise. I tried it powered by the USB port and that works. Anyone want to buy a Polytune and an OC2?
