1.
Nice one Dave, can I borrow it and check it out..?
Yes, before I end up selling it again Do we know when they will be available in the UK?
2. I've recently bought a Mono M80 dual gig bag so I don't really need more then one MM case so I'm moving this one on. It's got some scuffs, nothing major though, it does have a crack in the middle on the back but it in no way effect it's over all structure and still does the job it's meant to of protecting your pride and joy All the hinges and locks work, no keys. [s]£55.00[/s] £50.00 delivered to the mainland UK, a bit cheaper if you want to collect it from South London. Shout if you want pics.
3. Another thing for the shopping list, I had a B3 for a while but it was too much for my modest needs, this would be more my bag.
4. Bought a Mono M80 case from David, lots of comms, it arrived very quickly and in as new condition. A joy to do business with.
5. Sold Geoff my Raspberry Pi, very fast payment and a joy to do business with.
6. Looks interesting, I've been using Sampletank as my software sampler but it's always good to try something new.
7. I haven't bumped this in ages as I thought I might keep it as I love the look of it but in a strange turn of events my latest idea for a custom bass is now in the early stages of coming into being so this is available again. I've strung it with a new set of D'Addario Half Wounds in the last few weeks as I thought I was keeping it. Any question just ask.
8. Last price drop before it not worth going to the post office for
9. Thanks for the offer but I'm OK for a Jazz bass having picked up a Road Worn recently, it would have to be something old (pre 73) to tempt me.
10.
Interestingly I moved from a tonehammer to the f500 and am a happy bunny. These are great amps!
I really like the F500, the tone controls and the VLF etc. make it a very versatile amp, it just does way more them my simple needs so I'll stick with the TH.
11. Thanks for the offer but I'm happy with my Aguilar that I'm using.
12. I got this in a trade last summer and have used it a couple of times, it's a fantastic head but has more knobs then I'm comfortable with so I've moved over to an Aguilar Tone Hammer instead. It's in excellent condition but does have a couple of small scratches on the top that the previous owner must have touched up with a marker pen, it's nothing really to distract from a lovely amp but thought it should be mentioned. [s]£450.00[/s] [s]£420.00[/s] £400.00 collected from South London, I'll probably be up in the West Midland at the end of the month if that's easier to get to. I have bubble wrap and it comes with slightly battered camera type case to keep it safe if it needs shipping.
13. Finally got to try out my Venderkley 212MNT and Aguilar Tone Hammer combination yesterday, it's the first rig I've had that the whole band commented on how good it sounded, on it's own it was a bit bright sounding for my liking even with the tweeter turned off but sounded fantastic with the whole band playing.
14.
No no, i've just got my endorsement deal, and i've ordered it thru the hungarian distributor
Congratulations
15.
I've just ordered my first Bongo 5, it will comes in the middle of April. I'll write a little review about it
Out of interest did you order it from Bass Central? just wondering as I thought they were not aloud to export new MM basses.
16. Bump for a price drop and I'll throw in a black plate to, it's damaged as I dropped it and one of the pointy bits broke off near the neck cut out but it's an easy fix with some super glue and a steady hand.
17. I was in a few originals bands back in the late 80's and we would usually turn up with the chords to a song idea for the others to follow but more often then not we made the songs up in the rehearsal room from a guitar riff or bass line, this is the first time I was asked to get involved in something where all the songs were more or less fully formed, maybe I treated it a bit to much like a covers band where I'd get the basic chord and structure from the internet to save time before working out the bass parts.
18.
mmm, just to air a different opinion/experience. I've never been given chord charts for an originals band. I've also never been asked for charts by prospective band members. Not to say that its a bad thing to do though if it helps learn the songs. Like has been said, personality will be a big deciding factor.
Maybe they thought I was odd
19. I had one for a while as I felt I needed to at least try one even if I do think they are bloody fuggly* I decided I prefer a Stingray 5, I didn't use the extra frets or the very powerful eq and mine wasn't any lighter then other 5's I own. *quite like the look of the Stealth though.
20.
Looks like you're sitting with a handful of tracks & an instrument for an hour or two.
TBH I'll wait to hear from him one way or the other about the charts as I might be wasting my time if I never hear from him again.
21. Have another bump on me, after living with mine for a while now I can say it's the nicest Jazz I've owned, love the Nitro paint.
22.
I always ask for the chords but I'm always surprised how many guys don't know what they're playing...
Maybe he's desperately trying to work out his own songs, hence the silence
