6. You can slightly see the edge of each holes next to the body of the Utralite on the back of the headstock, like it needs nudging across a couple of mm's.
7. Fought my way through the torrential rain last Sunday to collect the bass from Lawrence's workshop in Letchworth, got a very welcome cup of tea on arrival. As you can see from the pictures it's a very pretty looking bass indeed, it's quite hard to photograph but I think I've go the pics pretty close. Acoustically it plays really well, It's got some nice mwah going on but plugged in there's a nasty hum/buzz from the ACG 02, something is not right at all, Lawrence has talked to ACG and no one seems to know what's wrong with it, I bought the pre second hand a couple of years ago so it may have been faulty when I got it, I can't blame either ACG or Lawrence for that. I do have another ACG 02 in the cupboard so I'll get my mate to swap them over and see how it is or maybe wire the Wizards up as passive, still thinking it through. Unfortunately it will have to go back to Letchworth at some point to have the set-up lowered slightly, tuners repositioned a tad and a small mark in the burst fixed. Many thanks go to Mr Born for sticking with what turned out to be a bit of a nightmare job for him. 8. Got to be worth getting a couple of quotes from Luthiers to see what they would charge to do you a neck.
9.
I have a few more, send email adress , and i'll send all for you. Greetings: mark
I've PM'd my e-mail address.
10. That's very kind of you Mark, it will keep me busy for decades PM on it's way.
11. I've been listening to Joni Mitchell a lot this week and it got me thinking about Jaco's work outside of Weather Report and his solo stuff. I have a couple of Jaco song books and I've had a look on Amazon but there doesn't seem to be any material relating to Jaco's work as a side man, does such a publication exist? has anyone stumble across or done their own transcriptions?
12. I think that's pretty normal to have 5 mounting screws for the bridge, although some if not all Fenders have 3 screws.
13.
Everything you ever needed to know about custom colours - but currently missing some images: http://home.provide....fh/fenderc.html
Very interesting read - Thanks
14. You could try Wizard http://www.wizardpickups.co.uk/shop.asp?category=Bass A UK company with a good reputation, you can even order custom wound pups if that's your thing.
15.
That...is....absolutely....GORGEOUS!
All credit goes to Bow Finishing in Surrey.
16.
The only thing to watch is that it can cost you more to do it this way (even with allparts etc.) and what you're left with is a Fender copy with no name, that's harder to sell.
This is a very good point, I built a Fender Jazz up from genuine USA and Japanese parts a few years ago but when it came to selling it I had to part it out as it was worth a fair bit less as a complete bass.
17. As usual I've bought effects and never use them! will I ever learn? probably not This thing is brilliant, great tracking effects, excellent sounding amp sims, looper, tuner, DI out and USB recording, there's not a lot it can't do, but as I say I don't really use effects so it's just sitting there doing nothing and as I've over spent recently it's time to sell some gear. In excellent condition, I have put two neat Velcro dots on the battery cover these could be easily removed but I'll leave them on and include the dots for attaching to a pedal board. Comes with the box, manual, Sequel LE CD, 9v adapter, it's the Euro version adaptor but it will run off a standard Boss 9v, battery or USB. £100.00 collected from South London or add another £8 to post in the UK.

19. I think both sets are sold but if not I'll sort some pics tomorrow for you.
