    Picked up an MXR compressor from Marc, came well packaged, in great condition and it arrived very quickly.

    I kinda like the worn black and red pattern it would make a nice looking guitar.

    Not an expert in any way but I have a JV Squier Strat, it just happens I bought it back then as a cheap guitar to strum and still have it, it's nice enough but I would have thought a modern secondhand Fender would be just as good.

    Depends if the neck pocket is a standard Fender size? if it is then it would be easy to find a neck to fit it but a pain if it's an odd size and you need to get a bespoke neck made.

    I've bought, sold and traded loads on here and all except one were easy transactions, the one that went a bit pear shaped involved me paying for and item then the seller ceased all contact even when prompted by the mods to do reply, couple of months down the line the item turned up out of the blue in the post, very odd.

    My view is it's your bass and you can do what you like to it, personally I wouldn't mod it. FWIW I always thought it would be better putting a P pup in the neck position of a Jazz Bass, (easily reversed to) but it isn't done that often.

    I ordered some black rubber bottle washers similar to the ones used on Grolsch bear bottles to be used as strap locks and it worked out cheapest to buy 20, I don't need that many and as they arrived in an unfranked envelope I thought I'd see if anyone wants a couple or four for free. R.

    Thanks I had a call from Lawrence yesterday and all the electrics are in now, it should be finished in the next couple of weeks but in the meantime he's going to send some new pics, I'll upload them when they arrive.

    I've been using 2 1x12's but I've recently picked up a 2x12 Neo cab to try out at our next rehearsal.
