True, I'd buy a second hand US one rather then a new Sterling, maybe it's just a combination of the economic climate and supply outnumbering demand.

I did wonder if the introduction of the Sterling range has had an effect on second hand prices?

I don't know if it's possible but could it work that the fee charged to list and item for sale is a percentage of the price the item is offered at? so a set of strings being sold doesn't cost the seller the same as someone selling a top end bass?

Hi Ped, I vote for keeping the old system and implementing points 1-5 as listed above. I'd be happy to pay a yearly sub as I tend to use the forum to sell, trade and buy quite a bit but maybe a 'per ad' payment system would be fairer? Cheers R.

The fretless ebony board on my Overwater still showed markings from round wound strings after light use, but as you say a lot harder then Rosewood so a better option I think.

All has been fine for me (although I'd seen many people say they can't upload pictures) until the other day now I can't upload any photos, not even to change my avatar, I've deleted some of my old images and have plenty of space left on Basschat, has something changed with the site? I use Firefox but tried IE to without any success. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I can't upload pictures to the site any more, I still have space left but it just fails to upload I've decided to put Status half wounds on instead of the EB rounds, I've got a set on my SR5 and really like them. Lawrence thinks it should be finished by the end of Jan, hopefully the uploader will be working again by then.
