I've decide to get a larger version on this so it will no longer be required. Great little devise for controlling your VST synths and plug-ins etc I particularly like using the arpeggiator. In excellent condition, boxed and with the original disks. These seem to be going for about £70 new and £50 used on ebay, how does £40.00 including UK postage sound? PM me if you require pictures or any additional info.

I quite fancy trying one of these http://www.vanderkleyamp.nl/products/cabinets/neolite/212mnt/ A bit pricey but meant to be very well made, and sound excellent, I'm not sold on the red myself but that's just me.

Voted again, but for the same person.

The Overwater is up for sale Whatever I do I can't get away from the fact I like MM necks and preferably in maple so even though the Perception is now fretted I still don't play it.

That looks amazing so far Dave, I might have to have a play of that one when it's finished

For me the lack of chat and interaction in the new Classified section and (even with it faults) the ability to bump a thread is a negative, the old system is fun and often informative, I read comments and learn stuff about basses for sale that I have no interest in actually buying, it's a place to browse just like other parts of Basschat not just to buy and sell, I fear that's not going to be the case going forward. The general concept of paying for the privilege of placing an ad I think is a good one, as is the box for filling in the price before being able to post the thread.
-
That makes sense to me, I didn't actually do anything on my build apart from come up with the ideas, buy the parts and decide who did what but it still felt good to have a little input, putting it together yourself will be even better

Most Kind, I may just do that in the future, I've had it for a few years as well and prefer it to anything else I've tried but I only dabble with it once in a while and it can get frustrating when you can't work out how to do something due to lack of experience.
Cool! Although I have to say that I'm a bit shocked you skip though them if I'm honest, I think the composers deserve a full listen No worries though, I think that's the way a lot of people listen to music these days. Bit sad really.
No disrespect to the composers meant, I know how much effort goes into producing these tunes, some talented folk on Basschat What shocked and saddened me was that fact only 13 people have voted in total.
Press alt and drag the edge of a midi item (and audio item if you wish) to the target bar marker - and Reaper will timestretch/shrink it for you.
That's it job done. Thank you very much.

I knew I was going to struggle to explain what I mean. The MIDI loop runs over the bar makers in Reaper as the recorded loop is at a different tempo to the Reaper project, I thought there must be a simple way to make the MIDI stretch or shrink to fit to a certain number of bars or to a marker, as you say I could quantise a bar it this case. I did a screen grab t help explain but the uploader doesn't seem to be working. I lived in Penge for a few years, up towards Anerley Station.

Voted, it was hard to choose but I went for the track I was drawn to listen to all the way through rather then skipping bits. All good stuff, I'm shocked that so few people vote.

A little help with Reaper if there are any experts out there. Messing about yesterday I came up with a little loop using the arpeggiator on an Akia MPK and quickly recorded it in Reaper so I can edit it and maybe use it as the base of a new tune, the problem is the loop is (for arguments sake) at 112bpm but the track properties are at 120bpm so obviously the markers for the bars are in the wrong place and for the life of me I can't work out how to change reaper so they align, if it were audio you could change the tempo of the track to 112 and it would be in time but as it's MIDI changing the tempo just speeds up or slows down the MIDI. Hope that makes sense :s Cheers R

Lawrence (Henry Norton) built me a lovely Jazz 5 neck a couple of years ago for a bass I was putting together and he's now making me a complete fretless 4 string PJ bass. This sounds like a very interesting project, I like the idea of a lightweight 5 string Jazz bass, out of interest is there any reason why you are not getting Lawrence to put the whole thing together for you? Can't wait to see some pics
IThere was also a BBC documentary round about the time it was released as I recall.
I saw that at the time, very good it was to, quite painful to watch at times.

I bought some Dunlop strap buttons from Gareth, it's a shame I didn't get the chance to collect them from him at his work as it a fab place. Fast delivery and great to deal with. Thanks R.

No worries, I'll PM you my address for you to send a SAE to.

I found a single half wound (I Think) used B string in a gig bag for a bass I no longer own, I have no idea of the make or exact size, it has blue silks and a purple retaining ring, I'm going to throw it away but thought I'd put it on here just in case by some fluke it's of use to anyone. Send me a stamped address envelope and it's yours. R.
