1. As much as I love SR5's I have two already, 3 would be just plain greedy Hoping for a sale rather then a trade.
2.
Markbass amps seem to go very well with Aguilar cabs.
This combination works well for me I'd like to try neo's again at some point but the EBS 212 I had before was a bit to lively sounding for me.
3.
Would kill to do the trade Got no cash
Sorry, usually I do have a list of trade options but I need a straight sale this time.
Wowzers....always fancied a Bongo, and that's a cracker.
I love the colour, if you are going to have a Bongo have one in a loud colour
4. Can't help with the technical stuff as my electronics engineer mate did the wiring (and it was passive) but I had a kill switch on a 5 string Jazz bass that I found very useful, just make sure it's not in a position where you might knock it by accident.
5. I had a Roscoe Century Std for a while, bloody excellent bass.
6. I've seen that MXR and I was tempted to give it a try, it's got way more control then the Diamond and the meter is a great idea but from what I've read it wouldn't add any 'magic' to your tone, I guess it depends what you want from a compressor.
7.
Gorgeous bass! Have a free bump on me!
Thank You, looks even better in the flesh.
8. It's not really waving about as it's lightly pressed against the strings.
9. Thanks for the offer but I'm really only after a sale with this one.
10. I wonder if they are all heavy, from what I've seen in ads on here they seem to be, as you say it's probably all part of why they sound so good.
11. I'm not a Jaco expert by a long way but for something slightly different you could try Ian Hunter's All American Alien Boy, I think he even plays a little guitar on it. It's only one tune but I love 'I Can Dig It Baby' by Little Beaver that Jaco played on. I have a PDB CD somewhere that I bought years ago and it's a very bad quality recording. I'm sure plenty of other BC folk with chip in.
12. Did you get to have a play on it?
13. Hi, I found these in the draw a minute ago, I got them free from the kind folk at Rotosound as arranged by Basschats own Discreet (Mark) but I can't really see me ever using them as I discovered Status halfwounds recently that I'm really in to, so I thought I'd sell them and donated the money minus the postage to Basschat. How does £12.00 delivered sound? Paypal gift or bank transfer. R.
14. I've wanted to try one of these for ages and although it's great it's a bit too modern sounding and looking for my covers band, I've spotted something on here that's better suited so I thought I'd see if there was any interest in this, if the other bass sells I may decide to keep this as I have hardly played it. Fantastic looking gold/ metallic orange colour & a huge sounding bass. Excellent condition, one small chip on the headstock (pictured) MM hard case included that has one small crack it it but it still does the job of keeping it safe. £900 delivered as that's what I paid for it. 15. Thanks - Yeah that's pretty good, hmmm... what can I sell
16. I can't justify yet another MM but as it's a question that others may be interested to know, what does this beauty weigh? Thanks
17. Floating for me to, well most of the time, if I'm playing a tune with lots of 8th notes on the E string say I might rest my thumb on the B string or the top of the pick-up, I'm in the camp of what works best for you is right, this can change from song to song.
18.
I have seen some AG500's for sale lately, all for around your asking price, but for whatever reason they tend to remain unsold.. I have no idea why there is no demand for these, I am keeping onto mine, as it is the best amp I have ever tried (except perhaps for a Trace Elliot V8, but that one's just, like, the obvious..). Good luck with the sale nevertheless!
Thanks So good in fact if it doesn't sell soon I'm thinking of getting a rack bag for it and start using it again.
19. Lovely Roscoe you have there Great guy to deal with, all the best with the sale.
