I have a TT5 or JJ5 nut width is 46mm and 12th is 65mm oh and its for sale.
Thanks for your reply that's very helpful, 65mm at the 12th fret makes me think the neck would be on the wide side for me, SR5's seem to suit me and they are only just wider then that at the 22nd fret. Thanks again and good luck with your sale. R.
I'm going to see Flight of the Conchords on the 26th of June. Not expecting to see many BCer's...
They are great and I'd like to see them live but as my relative in NZ will be on their way over here on that date it might be a tad rude of me to pop over there for the gig

Thanks for taking the time to reply, very helpful & much appreciated. Blimey 1lb for the paint, that's a lot! so if they 'heavy relic' it it only adds 1/2lb I guess? If no one come back to me here with the info on the neck (T Series) then I'll contact the distributor or Sandberg directly.

Hi, I have a few questions for anyone with a Sandberg California 5 that I can't find the answers to on their website. What is the width at the nut and the 12th or 22nd fret, I'm trying to get an idea of what the neck is like compared to some of the bases I own. I understand from the pdf on their web site that the bridge string spacing is adjustable but what are the extremes? can you get it down to 17mm? The next one is the age old weight question but I guess that's going to be dependant on the body wood, I'd be interested in what Basschatters one's weigh in at. Thanks In Advance R.

I'd like to be able to turn peoples animated avatars off, they really are quite distracting.

Do you work for Pedaltrain Andy?

Thought as much that dark bit of grain on the neck is a real give away. I've only really had it since Tuesday afternoon, lovely looking bass with a big sound. Did you buy it from Bass Direct or pick it up on Basschat secondhand?

Recently got hold of this in a trade, it must have been BigJim's once upon a time.

Up for sale is my custom (Homage) Jazz Bass, you can read the build diary here: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 35" scale One piece maple neck, matt finish, with dark rosewood board 17mm at the bridge Hipshot Type A bridge Hipshot Ultralite tuners Nordstrand pick-ups Custom passive wiring including S1 switch and mute switch DR Sunbeam strings Schaller strap locks I absolutely loved the process of getting this made and the result is a fantastic looking and excellent sounding Jazz but after recently picking up another SR5 with a maple board I have come to realise I prefer maple and 34" scale, also at nearly 12lbs it's on the heavy side for a weed like me also if I can sell this one it's an excuse to start another build Sounds really great as a passive bass and that's what i was aiming for it could be amazing with the right pre amp. It's only been played a few times and is like new, the finish is beautiful and it plays like a dream the only tiny (me being really fussy) bug is if you look closely at the pics you can see the scratch plate doesn't quite match the shape of the control plate where they meet, easily fixed by getting Bass Doc to cut a new one in your preferred colour or live with it as it is as it hardly notices. Price wise I'm after £750.00 otherwise I may as well keep it and sell the Overwater instead, it's a top bass made with the best parts and by some of Basschats finest, no expense spared. Comes with an old gig bag as I'd expect any buyer to try this out first or at least meet up rather then buy blind. Any questions fire away but maybe check the build diary first just in case the answer is there quite hard to get the colour right in the photos the finish is off white, sol slightly creamy. Trade wise I might consider a SR5, Bongo 5, Pre 73 Fender Jazz, Sandberg Jazz 5, 1964 P Bass, Roadworn Jazz, G&L 5 or a Roscoe (LG or SKB) 5, ideally with maple boards and not heavy. Lightweight Heads also possible, Aguilar, Markbass, TC etc. R.
