IMHO I don't care how many strings your bass has the more important questions are can you play and does it sound good?!

After checking out many reviews and sound samples I am feeling very tempted by the EHX Bass Blogger.

Out of my 2 the Hoyer SG gets used for live work but the Hofner gets used for recording.

I get a nice ammount of rumble and punch out of my Roto Flatwounds.

I am liking the sound of the EHX Bass Blogger too.

If you had one of the J coils reverse wound you couold have the switch as series/parallel/coil tap for even more options.

Does anyone know what could be wrong with this pedal? It's an Artec Vintage Chorus. Was trying to use it at a rehearsal on Monday but even with the LED lit and pedal trodden on the effect didn't come on. Also moving knobs didn't do anything except when the 'depth' knob was up all the way causing much crackling and reduction in sound. Any ideas what this could be? I'm hoping it's just a loose wire somewhere.

Looks like an EHX Od might be the way to go then from what I could glean from those links.

I believe that the MM p/up lie somewhere between the 2 J p/ups.
