1. Lovely ez... love the white P as i've said many times before... nice Rays too! Now tidy up the rest of the place!
2. Nice Jazz Joe... I found the VM to be a bit on the chunky side but they are very well regarded. I still prefer the CV.
3. Hmmm... inlays look nice and not painted on. Would look nicer with a rosewood board but I guess it's a cheaper option to have the neck one piece of maple.
4. I think Mr sponge is refering to the new ones... with the strat knobs... http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0327702506 I reckon the CV will be better.
5. Yes... If you've a good un you might as well hang on to it... very happy with mine, no need to change anything except the machines... I just added some bling. Stock bridge is absolutely fine IMO.
6. Hi Lorry... this is what I would do, hang on to your hat! Keep the Precision, do what ever upgrades you want. Keep the MM, it sure is a looker. Remove the frets. Yes... do it! Sell the rest.
7.
Horrifying posed mugshot warning:  Jon.
love that clear P bass... can you tell more about it?
8. They should just pop in, of course the mounting screws are in different places so you may want to drill those out, to get them started. A very thin bit of course, and not too deep!
9. A friend of mine put SD qp's on his MiM p... he likey.
10. Happens a lot...
11. I have an MIM P and although a lot of peeps around reckon the pups are weak, I really like the sound of mine, trad P Bass thump and growl and noise free. I'd try some rounds (RS66), dump the foam mute and play around with your amp eq. Theres not a lot to the controls on a P... I normally have the 'tone' set halfway so I can adjust on the fly. Jazzes are nice also.
12. For those interested... Mick Karn Colin Moulding Jerry Soffe Paul Chambers Chris Squire (not 100% about Chris being on here... I'm more into groove players these days..haha) Bob. (oops... I've put myself as no.6)!
13. Nice... I would like to fit those on my MiM p... I put a set of Wilkos on but I would like the vintage vibe.

New Bass Day!

Yes... congrats. They really are very nice.
16. THIS is a jazz... 1962... fretless, J-Retro, DiMarzios...
17. After thirty odd years I still get nervous... I quite like that.
18. Blimey silddx... the improv thread and now this... you need a holiday.
19. No and no... carry on... enjoy!
20. I have severe gas for the CV 60's in sonic blue!
21. Yes... been there! My three main basses were all actives and we were out doing some festies and I thought I just needed an uncomplicated passive bass so I looked round the bay and found this... (Just to get you gassing more...) a 2002 MiM, bought blind and it turned out to be a very nice example. Added some bling of course!
22. I assume they just get a desk mix and broadcast that... of course the mix is set for the live room. I may well be wrong. It's what it sounds like though. It's often poor.
23. I'm sorry but gold sparkle is for drum kits only... prob Ludwig.
24. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
