1.
You mean, rather like this...TOTP That's one devilishly handsome bass player, don't you think? Still got the bass. Anyone know where I can get the electrics looked at?
Heh... a band I was in supported her at an Oxford ball... I was playing my brand new SB1000! Here it is at a recent gig before it went to the shop... Now THATS devilishly handsome...
2. I had my frets stoned to the tangs... One has fallen out as you can see. Ahh... it seems the rest of the bass has fallen off as well
3. Heh... I use lined but I can intonate okay without looking... when I do look I start drifting off in an 'in-tune' sort of way.
4. That's a shop surely...

SB1000 is SOLD

Wow Randy... deal of the decade?
6. Tan shoe polish. No really!
7. As far as I know, they are the CV Jazzers with a repaint and price hike.
8. This looks ver nice... http://www.oxfordguitargallery.com/Specials/Default.aspx £594...!
9. NWR is one of my bass heroes, but that looks naff. When I saw him with the Blockheads he was playing a loverly natural P bass. What a player!

Nice Pic

Cor! Looks nice... one of my fave colours too!
11. I've DiMarzio's on my Jazz, dunno which model they are though I bought them so long ago (79) ... they sound huge although I'm using them through a J-Retro.
12. I'm going to have to leave this thread... I've not the wallet nor the stomach. I should enjoy what I've got for now. Boring!
13. Well... I've never liked sig basses... the fact that they are puts me right off.
14.
The answer is 'B' false. If you want a LPB Jazz you could buy mine, if I ever sold it, which I never would.
your 'my stuff' piccys are too big!
15. I wonder if James Johnston would play one.
16. You could try and find a MiM Jazz or Precision off the bay... I picked myself a superb P for £250! The CV Squiers are super though.
17. Cor... looks a bit like my '62... Might have to get some covers for it.
18. This one please... That'l do nicely.
19. Heh... what a pose! Bass looks loverly! I'm as green as my green P. Still prefer the burst though.
20. I'd let it go... don't lend your basses out in future.
21. Well I've played one and was impressed so now I want one... simple... not bothered at all about the relic thing.
22. Ezbass here has a P (double pup). I tried one recently at my LMS (PMT), a sunburst Jazz and it was very lovely. I normally play a '62 Jazz. I'll tell you what though... also tried a Squier CV Jazz... it was superb. Still have gas for the RW though.
23. After a couple of decades playing active basses I thought it was definitely time to get a passive. I got a beauty of a P off the bay two years ago... an MiM! My first and hopefully not my last. Excuse same old photo... I've gas for a 50s RI... trans white/maple board with gold guard... no funding at present though but.
24. I think you may regret the sale of your P... try and fight the gas... cold turkey style.
25. A piccy would be nice... can't be arsed to google 'Sting's red fretless bass that he had in the late seventies or possibly early eighties... prob ibanez but might have been something different'...
