  1. The Aria's still there though.
  2. At last! Mark 1 fretless for me please...!!!
  3. If I had the spare cash that sonic blue jazz would be mine... at least I have photos!
  4. Got to love that sonic blue Jazz... way out of my league money wise... how much?
  5. I've heard that it's a good idea to buy the best and then you can play up to it... it's a good motivator to learning and it's always a good thing to pay as much as you can afford. You should be able to find a good used Fender Precision or Jazz for that sort of cash. Good luck and let us know what you've settled on.
  6. PMT in Oxford had (has) a very nice limpy white one... tried it and was impressed. £1200 though but me old skip from the briney.
  7. I had the frets stoned down to the tangs on my Jazz... so it looks like a metal lined fretless... 'cept a couple have fallen out!
  8. Hmmm ivory fretboard eh... is that legal?
  9. Looks great with the white... still broke... oh well
  10. Blimey... what a softy... I love the slabs!
  11. It's lovely... I'm broke though.
  12. Get the best you can afford... obviously.
  13. Have a look at the Squier Classic Vibes also... the Jazz is ver nice. Maybe a MiM (mexi) Fender P or J off the Bay. I got a Precision there for £250 and it's a real peach.
  14. Neck pocket gap.. blahdy blah... you guys crack me up... really! When?, where?, how much? is all we need to know methinks.
  15. As they're all copies I'd suggest you go for the real deal and try some Fenders. Just my 2 pence.
  16. There's natural... they will be rotating two colours a month.

Cor... congrats... I'm still waiting for my endorsement from Fuller's!
  18. Cripes... I've just had to part with my '78 Ray and now I've stumbled on this thread!
  19. Played one back to back with a RoadWorn Jazz at my LMS... it blew me away... (I normally play a '62 Jazz). Although I've still GAS for the RW the CV would make a great replica project.

    mim jazz

I've a MiM 2002 P bass... they make great modding platforms. Sounds great and plays well. I swapped out the machines as the stock ones were a little loose, I also prefer the chunky vintage style large mounting plate ones. Also pimped it with bridge and pup covers and a tugbar. It's my main fretted now that the Ray's gone... I'm very pleased with it though. Have fun!
