Dunno but it seems like a sellers market at the moment. I believe there is a problem with supply so anyone selling one is charging high prices. I don't know if its just a fashion thing a "must have" on the bass. Still they look nice and chunky and I have been considering one
I had one. Good quality made in the US not China. Wide range of tone available and loads of power. Built to last. Classic Peavey. I still look at them when they pop up on Ebay and think why did I sell mine. GAS I suspect
Yep 2 weeks old fitted but pristine its just too damned hot for me. Bought for £45 now £35 + £2 to post.
Or if you have a neck position Vintage Jazz fancy a trade

Not a bad idea. I'll have to go to the local music shop sometime. It has to be the amp cos it happens with 2 very different basses. I thought it was my ears the first time I heard it. Thanks for the input
Hi Steve, did you hear it on the clip? It seems to be across all strings . New strings and new SD pu's. I think its more to do with speakers it sounds like they might be getting pushed to their limits but I don't set up that loud.???
I would, but I promised our lass I'd go to the chippy for tea tonight, so I haven't quite got enough cash.
No John its a coincidence. I came across it searching for something a couple of years ago. I've got an idea!
I recently got a MIM jazz and because of that set up I decided to change the PUs completely. I put in some Seymour Duncans. Wow what a difference. I'm sorry but I don't know if you can move the pole pieces

I had one of these and its true the switch does very little so I wouldn't bother going out of my way to get one. I also think the price is way too high.
