  1. I use the Hartke gear( see avatar) and its been reliable. HA3500 and 2 410s. I'm considering changing one cab to a 1x15 so I might have a used but not abused cab for sale soon. Failing that there is always some Hartke on Ebay. I can't say anything about GK but at the North East Bass Bash I took my rig and did not feel that it was below par against some of the more expensive gear on display.
  2. Thanks WoT. Hope your amp gets better soon. A good day despite torrential rain well worth the journey. Nice to meet you guys but I can't remember all your names. Paul

  6. Morning guys, Leftys Rule!
  7. I had a 2x10 tx and as I recollect they are only rated at 175 w per cab. I think this is a bit risky but thats my opinion
  8. I've had 5 strings before its just a matter of adapting to the extra width. Unless you have short sausages then maybe 5 s aren't for you. Mines a 4 str fretless and the fret board seems quite slick and the satin on the back increases playability. I got it just to indulge a whim for fretless but I am considering using it live at some point. Good luck with yours

  10. I got one from the same place £140. IGB40. I think its a real bargain. Good build nice neck and good tone although would benefit from better pickups. Lefties Rule!
  11. Sorry to hear aboput that Phil. I hope you can work it out. There seem to be lots of support ( no PUN ) here and ideas.

  19. This pickup can deliver any ammount of tone I'm sure you would find what you want. I can't describe really. This is whats on the website High output true single-coil. Recommended for blues, classic rock, garage, heavy rock, classic metal and nu-metal. description Developed for the bassist who needs the slammin' output of the Hot but with even stronger attack. The quarter-inch pole pieces and intense windings deliver a full response with great sustain. Includes logo cover. complete setup Calibrated neck and bridge set. Neck pickup is slightly narrower. Neck is RW/RP for hum canceling when both pickups are used together. Often used together with STC-2 or -3 Tone Circuits for optimal tonal control. 20. It does seem high considering the work needed. I think he lets out that his reserve is £700 so could be okay for that. More pics needed.
  21. Excuse my ignorance what is 75RI. The SD quarter pounder has large pole pieces and a really beefy output and I 'm sure you would get a great rasping Geddy like tone if you set your eq up. This is a neck pos PU I need something more like the vintage I have in the bridge pos. on my jazz
  22. if you've won it for that its excellent Good one
