Something I have been taking in to mind, my playing style does involve strumming so it could be a hinderance, but if I dont like it and take it off, a new scratchplate would conceal the screw holes anyway.

Ohh and another question, going for a traditional 70's style I got a neck pickup ashtray cover. I assumed I would only need to drill through the scratchplate to attach it but the screws provided would actually go into the body slightly, is this normal?

To get ferrules out of the headstock without causing any damage.

Im finally giving the Squier VM a hardware overhaul (going black instead of chrome.) Just started the dismantling stage and I have no idea what is the best way to remove ferrules.

Could I have some tips and advice please and thanks.

Finally adding some mods to the squier jazz, im going for all black hardware but I just need a little advice on machine head selection. Can anyone throw some good suggestions my way?

Yep my mate bought me a ticket today cant wait now, Maniac Street Cleaners in Blackburn on Saturday and Bass day Sunday....One will have a sore head Monday.

Just factory fitted Schecter humbuckers.

Decided to have a look into the electronics of the new schecter diamond 004 I have acquired and it seems the bridge grounding wire isnt attached to any pots or anything, this concerns me. Unless theres something I dont know about active basses, I need to know where I can solder it, if I need to that is.

Im GASing for a Fender classic 70's jazz or a Schecter and so I have decided to start shipping some gear in order to fund it.

Bought for £190 not so long back, it hasnt seen much use so dont be scared of any cracks or dings.

Lookingfor £140+ P&P considering It has seen little use.
