Ive got a 2010 gibson thunderbird in sunburst finish (pictures to follow) Hipshot Supertone fitted and the action is nice and low Slight damage to the lacquer near the nut, but no other issues Never been gigged only been used at home and rehearsal rooms I have also fitted schaller straplocks (still have the original strap buttons which ill include in the sale) and it comes with its' Original hard-case Its a lovely bass with a massive sound but just isnt for me. Im ideally looking for around £950 (this includes both hipshot and original bridge) But i am open to sensible offers Trade wise, im really after any of the following: Warwick Jack bruce signature (the Korean one, i know id be mental to expect the German survivor!) Warwick Star bass II (Korean pro-series again, just not white or gold) Or Any german made warwick But i am open to any offers really so message me if your interested in trading anything Cheers Chris.

Excellent Condition, practically mint, sounds and plays fantasticly, Amberbust finish, gold hardware, Emg's, OHSC etc Ill list a price of £850 As far as trades go im open to any offers (4 strings only please) but if anyone just so happened to have a Fender USA Zone bass laying around then that'd be a tad fantastic haha I appologise for the awful photos but the camera on my phone is quite frankly crap!

Gibson Bridge Covers, anyone know where to get replacments?
Greene-Mann replied to Greene-Mann's topic in Bass Guitars
I like the idea of grabbing an old one from ebay, next question there is where do i get it powder coated?? haha the problem with a jazz bass one is that its too wide, the centre block on a Tbird is about 104mm wide, That square one from CHguitars is perfect size! i would prefer a curved rather than a square one though, but i may get that one as a "for the mean time" sort of one (because its not too pricey either! :-D ) -
Post your pictures, Lets see what you all look like.

Me and an average Romford girl... :-D -
Anyone know of anywhere that makes replacments for the old gibbo chrome covers, just got myself and old EB0L which has one on and i really like it, But what im really after is putting one on my Tbird in order to cover up the replacement bridge im going to put on it, and because it looks awesome, id preferably want one in black though (probably never made) so it goes with the rest of the hardware (would love a chrome bird but the cost of doing it is immense) So in short anyone know of anyone making them?? Cheersies fine people of basschat for any info good or bad i can get!

Ive been offered a Black Gibson Les Paul Standard, arch top, Schaller Machines, the chrome p-ups rather than the bart's etc etc has a 3-point bridge rather than a Warwick one; its a little bashed due to it being a working bass but all in all isnt in too bad condition and the fella no longer has the case for it, what would be a fair offer for it? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated :-D Cheers, Chris.

Gibson Thunderbird Short Scale - Limited run of 400
Greene-Mann replied to farmer61's topic in Bass Guitars
With the pickguard on it it does look far better, Taking a picture of it next to that sexy mofo' of a Bicentennial Tbird doesnt do it any favours though! haha And i agree, IMO gibson should give up with the 3 point bridge (besides maybe if they release reissue models of various basses or something to keep things authentic etc) The hipshot supertone is a far better bridge than the stock one (only in my opinion there once again) back to the bass though; anyone know if its neck through like it's big bro' or is it a SN? -
Gibson Thunderbird Short Scale - Limited run of 400

Found a picture of it, Andy is right this looks really odd... Certainly not to my tastes, i think it looks like a toy version of a Thunderbird IV -

Will weigh it tonight and get back to you on that, the necks thinner than some of the other rics ive played on, but is a little larger than a modern 4003 not drasticly bigger though (was playing one in me local shop couple of days ago) Also add: currently strung with a set of Nickel D'addaro's 45-100, put them on couple of nights ago because the strings were dead, And cheers Pete, this is a truely lovely bass, and i will no doubt buy another in a couple of years when im more stable

SOLD Hey chaps and chapesses, sad state of affairs, need the money to try and get myself on the road, therefore letting go my Ric, i bought it from Robocorpse January 2010 and has been fantastic, still in the same condition i got it, original post: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...ckenbacker+4001 I also purchased a pair of replacment strap buttons to allow this bass to use schaller strap locks (the proper rickenbacker ones, costing £10 each!!) both pairs of buttons will be included in the sale. No trades please as i need the money, SOLD Cheers Peeps

Ive heard nothing but bad things about these eastern made hiwatts... apparently they're just naff amps slapped with the Hiwatt name. ive played through a friends marshall MB head before and that wasnt too bad, and only about £250. About 400 watts or something like that.

I have an Ernie Ball volume pedal JR which im thinking of converting... It has one input and 2 outputs (Out and Bypass for a tuner) wondering whether its possible to change the input for a Stereo Jack Socket and change the 2 outs into separate mono's _ therefore converting it into a stereo box, Although i want it to still function as a volume pedal; is there a way of doing this?? If anyone else has done something similar before that would lend some handy information Cheers Chris
