1. I'm open to offers of trades for the items on the list, failing that I'll have to ebay it all (it all seems like too much effort though )

 3.
Ive searched far and wide for an acoustic bass that you can slap, i mean obviously you CAN slap any bass but I mean one that you'd actually want to. Both feel - wise and tone - wise. Don't know if this is just me but I always find the soundhole gets in the way of where i'd normally rest my right hand, which is why i was thinking of something like warwick alien with a crazy soundhole. I think the fender vic bailey is supposed to have a good slap sound, hmmmmm. Well I was just wondering if anyone had ever owned an acoustic bass they liked for slap stuff so they could point me in the right direction. Anyone??????
I was going to suggest the Washburn AB10 I have up for sale, but while it has slots instead of a soundhole and has been set up with Rotosound 30-90 stainless strings, the shape of the fingerboard isn't ideal for slap If you're local to Northampton you're welcome to pop round and try it though
 4.
It's absolutely transparent... If you're after 'uncoloured', it's right up your alley.
I'm regularly puzzled by this sort of remark, so don't think this is aimed at you in particular, but how do you know it's not colouring the sound of the bass ? If the amp was plugged into a different cab, or more of them, wouldn't that sound different ? If it was all moved from a room with a carpeted floor to one with laminate flooring wouldn't it sound different ? Or if it was isolated from the floor? Or moved into the corner of the room ? If you played the first set up at "not annoying the neighbours" levels and then turned it up significantly, wouldn't that sound different ? I'm sure there are amps which on a flat setting "sound" like they might not be adding to or subtracting from the original signal, but the process of amplification ( even plugging straight into a power amp with no tone controls ) must always change things, surely ?
 5. I've got a Lakland Skyline Jerry Scheff sig model too, that I might be prepared to part with for the right price - any takers ?

 7.
Were you a regular on the Guitarist boards as well Paul? I remember there was someone on there a couple of years ago that was selling a stack load of these Yamaha basses. How much for it incidentally?
I'm still on the IM boards, I changed name from arrowheadguitars to Paul_C on a number of forums. Looking for £395 for it.
 8.
there was some guy on bassworld who used to collect those, he hand loads of them..
that was me ! I had 16 at one time, down to 2 now. It's a great sounding bass but as I use my Bongo for gigs, it's never left the house - seems a shame for it not to get played so it's up for sale.

 15.
Where can I get a Music Man pearl pickguard or the basic material to make one?
you can get the material from WD Music (who also make plates) and Allparts I've got an abalone StingRay plate that you could have for £20 plus p+p
 16. it certainly strikes me as an answer in search of a problem a decent set up shouldn't take that much effort, and having a potentially wavy fingerboard strikes me as a nightmare waiting to happen, once humidity starts moving things around

 23.
Alright Chaps, the big cat is keen on taking up the EUB and I am trying to get one that is good quality but nothing stupidly expensive, I like the look of the NS CR4M anyone got any other suggestions what might be suitable?
Right now I'd suggest buying my CR4MG (graphite board) at its current bargain price P.
