1. Mmmm - first bass I've seen that makes me think maybe I would sell my Overwater...
2.
Molan, account for yourself, do you really have one of these!!!!
That will be this one then... 5 pickups and three pre-amps!?
3. Frank Blair and Barry Johnson played bass on that album - not sure which one was on that track though.
4. Wonderful instrument - wish I had never sold mine (used to tune it GDAD rather than GDAE). Have a cheaper one now and it's not a patch on this. If I had the cash it would be coming this way...
5. Rather unlikely for me - could probably stretch to this...
6. I know what you mean. Due to various issues I can't get into a band even of I found one that was suitable, so I'm thinking of selling my gear at the moment. Getting fed up of playing on my own at home.
7. And now it has stopped...
8. I'm getting that as well, though it is now allowing the ads through. I think it is the latest Kaspersky update being over-zealous, it happened a month or so ago as well.
9.
I like it, it reminds me a great deal of some of Micheal Hedges stuff....haunting, off the wall and just different.
He played a lot with Michael Hedges - there is at least one vid on Youtube of them together. And I love his stuff - I'm going to see Stanley Clarke and Victor Wooten on Sunday but I would much rather have been able to make the MM gig in London recently.
10. Oooohhh - I have a Japanese Fender Jazz fretless... I will have to think about this... Only problem is its Oly white and lined...
11.
Yeah bring on the Spotify invites...............please
I currently have 6 invites apparently - drop me a PM if you want one. I also pay the £9.99 a month - not only is it ad-free but you get better quality as well, though it's pretty good at the free level.
12.
Been wondering for a while now, what does feeler mean in the fs sections?
The seller hasn't necessarily decided to sell/trade but is putting out a feeler to see the interest. Might not get bumped too often if they really aren't sure.
13. Couple of other options (neither of which I have any experience of). Cheap(ish) mixer from Maplins, and if you are any good with a soldering iron a schematic to make your own. Edit: just had another look at that mixer and it doesn't have a headphone output :/
14.
Very
Right - just need to convince my wife that the parcel that will arrive is an "essential upgrade"
15. Like the idea of a fretless P but can't afford any more instruments at the moment - well not what that would cost anyway. So, having read Clarky's thread about the Audere I'm considering putting one of those in my CIJ fretless J. Good idea?
16. +1 from a 5-stringer
17. If this had 5 strings I might have been able to make Owen a happy man...
18. Overwater J-series - and they have one in stock on special offer within your price range - here.
19. I know someone who has put an extra couple of strap buttons on their bass - one on the lower horn and one in the centre of the back. They then use an second strap between these over their opposite shoulder.
20. Don't know why you are even discussing it. Just check Wikipedia: "The standard design for the electric bass guitar has four strings, tuned E, A, D and G" So there it is, case closed.
21.
How do you get to be an anonymous member?
Log out and when you log back in you get the option to log in anonymously.
22.
Cheers BTS, what service.......almost makes me feel guilty getting one second hand.
me too - though I will be sending it back to them for some work to be done on it!
23. Chris May from OW replied on yesterdays thread - he gave his phone number for you to contact him.
