What I don't get , is why get all upset about the issue? You clearly believe there is a demand , why don't you commit to supplying this demand and commission/build the products to satisfy that demand rather than complain that others dont. That way you can help your fellow lefties and make some money from the experience in the process.

Appearance of you and band on stage - clothing opinions?
lurksalot replied to Diablo's topic in General Discussion
I have a few 'loud ' shirts that often make an appearance , but jeans and T shirts are the main attire -
I have to say my research has concluded that pretty much most genres could be funked up , and thus be eligible for the photo , so I may head back down the country funk route , or dire death metal funk , though the Jasper Carrott Vs Paul Nicholas vibe is getting hard to leave alone . decisions, decisions

Are you subscribed to the marketplace ? there is a subscription or a one off fee to sell stuff over a value of £50 . there is a facility to pay during the process of putting the ad up . If the process does get done fully then the ad won't appear , but I am sure a marketplace mod can help you out if the process itself has fallen down . -

Thats great news , I left a band that was lamentable with putting new stuff in , it was a little bit iffy as the singer /guitarist is my next door neighbour and he took it a bit personally , they struggle to get together nowadays , but my offer to jam with them is always politely ignored . I fell into a new band pretty quickly , and its WAAAAAAY better .

I have 2 of these to move on as I have changed the way we approach my sound. I used to have 1 for my bass and had effects / preamps into the yamaha which could then drive different cabs even of differing impedances in stereo mode . It can really kick in bridge mode and will run down to 4ohms load . 1 amp is about 4 years old the other is 2 but both work perfectly though have some minor scratches despite being racked for most of the time. Yamaha official blurb http://uk.yamaha.com...00s/?mode=model Particularly useful is the adjustble high/low pass filters which enable it to power subs with ease Absolutely reliable , very accurate reproduction and easy to use , I would keep them but I need to move some stuff after a couple of purchases have made the collection unsustainable . As these are £300 new , should we start at £150 plus postage or collection for free. Ed to add Pic
Singers don't seem to think mic technique is important. I've suggested she keep the mic horizontal and I set it up on the stand like that. Next time I look she's got it pointing up at a 45 degree angle. Whole lines went missing last night and then she looks at the mic like it's broken.
if we cant use the tools of the job , then no amount of trickery will get us back up into the mix, everything is just pandering and compromise , but sometimes that is where the starting point is .
The answer is a bit of compression and a lot of automation

It's also why a real mix takes a good 15 hours graft
well of course it is , we all new that bit , it is the tiniest tweak of EQ that really works though , on a serious note , I did think of that but it sounded a bit too simple , but then, that is why you are good at do what you do , and I amn't
-
It does appear to be insane black magic that makes it all happen A couple of things I have learned though , is that you need to have good clear recordings that are nice to hear , and that if you can apply EQ when mixing it gives each part its 'sonic' space , you might be able to tweak the vocal EQ a touch to make it fit better into the band mix that you have . I am not sure on the reverb/delay tricks as each mix might need a different approach , and don't ask me how to work that one out

I recall seeing a thread somewhere , but can't find it , where it seemed the general conscensus was that it was a bit impractical with latency issues .
