Another fine crop of compositions ๐ I shall set up the voting thread on my return from work this evening
-
I am going to post it up , but I'm still hopeful of some lyrics and a bit of guitar to add from a couple of guests , but I'll have to wait and see about that . Until then
-
It might seem odd but Iโve never seen it noted anywhere that it actually has to be musical at all ๐ Being an inclusive type, I always thought a poem or short story would qualify , spoken and recorded of course , but they would of course be composed. and then , just maybe, one could put a banginโ donk on it ๐

What a beautiful tale !

How do you add another screen without slowing the whole shooting match down to a crawl ?

Interesting , I wonder if the Amazon fulfilment in this country will still be deemed from Luxembourg ! maybe theyโll have to start paying uk tax now ๐

Iโll follow this , but I really am struggling to understand the detail of what you are all saying I will need to do something soon as I am starting to get glitches when recording with a few FX /vstโs up . so I probably need a more efficient way of running the thing. I do have workarounds by turning FX off till I need them , but Iโll need to sort it properly soon -
At the last bass bash up this way @tommorichards was playing a Kala U-bass through one into fridge as I recall , big smiles all round ๐

Buying from EU private sellers - 20% VAT from 1 Jan 2021
lurksalot replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for that not dealing in used goods I hadnโt realised these vat options existed ! -
Yep , I feel a blues vibe now , it was going to be an up beat rocky type toon , but I guess Iโll just reduce the BPM till it sounds appropriate !

Buying from EU private sellers - 20% VAT from 1 Jan 2021
lurksalot replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
Doesnโt really work like that though Even if a business sells a product at a loss , they still have to charge vat on it if they are registered I do think it unfair to be charging vat on a used item/ private sale that had Vat paid on it when new , of course, when you start crossing borders with the goods, it gets messy -
I wasnโt sure myself TBH , but it does look a bit like the the enclosure at the zoo , but maybe loads of other zoos have the same ๐

๐ December Cover Song Challenge ๐ VOTING
lurksalot replied to lurksalot's topic in General Discussion
Come on folks , get those ears caressed and smothered in the marvellous offerings above , then throw some ticks in the boxes, you know it makes sense. and for those who are looking to get creative there is always the early start for January ........ -
A little bit early maybe , but it is just possible there are a few of you sitting around full of minces pies, chocolate and cake just needing an excuse to get creative. Have a look at this picture from last months winner @Doctor J and let's hear what sort of toonage it inspires e Usual rules apply. You know the drill: โ๏ธ Entries must be <5 minutes and written/recorded this month. โ No illegal samples, copyright infringements or other snide goings-on โ Bagpipes. ( Christmas truce now expired) . Also on thin ice with panpipes, to be perfectly honest. โ No voting for your own entry. We'll know. And we'll shame you. Deadline for entries is midnight on Burns Night *, Monday 25th January Enjoy * this does not constitute or indicate bagpipe tolerance , it is a mere coincidence.

Here is your go to Christmas listening folks As is tradition, we've done something a bit different for December... so instead of composing to a photo, it's a covers competition. any song or instrumental recorded and produced this year Choose your favourite 3 It didn't have to be a Christmas song. This is the only time of year that bagpipes are allowed! But that still doesn't make them right. so on offer for you to this Christmas season are....... 1 @Dad3353 2 @fingers211 3 @WalMan 4 @Leonard Smalls 5 @MoonBassAlpha 6 @lurksalot 7 @upside downer 8 @skankdelvar 9 @bobbass4k There we go a marvelous showcase of BC talent Voting will close at the very turn of the year 00.00 01 01 2021 Good luck to all Happy Christmas , Enjoy
