Real bummer to post here but .... In general, if your house was built before 1999 just try and be confident that the walls don’t have any sort of asbestos insulation board (AIB) any where that you are likely to be drilling . just completed my awareness renewal and the death rates from asbestos diseases are not likely to peak for another 15 years. it is a total bastard and there should be a national outcry , it is everywhere and really doesn’t get the press and coverage it needs.

I remember having GAS for a bass that rarely comes up used , but I couldn’t justify new prices. I saw one on here , offered full asking price and waited , only to be told he was keeping it . That annoyed the f**k out of me , I can’t contemplate how angry anyone would be having it pulled after paying for it.

Does this happen at gigs, the rehearsal room , different venues etc or does it happen in a particular environment . even where you are standing can influence the frequencies you hear Daft thought is the kick drum tuned close to 41hz and influencing your sound. If the only time the issue manifests itself is in the presence of the band , I would be surprised if the issue was with the bass

Mrs Lurks was watching (seemingly endless iPlayer repeats of) the greatest dancer, and the turn vines on to sing a song . Mrs Lurks asks why the singer has an ear piece in ? Durh i said , it is so she can hear the music and pitch her voice accurately , it is called monitoring and then explained loads more in my inimitable way Mrs Lurks followed up , why don’t they do this in Musical theatre then oh ! Thats me stumped , I had to conclude that they were far better trained ! Is that right ?

Excellent , I am sure everyone approaches things differently , but if you struggle to get inspiration for the second half , copy and paste the first , call it 2 verses, put your lyrics over it and you are done

Try the balanced leads jack cables first , I get the hiss if my piano is also connected to the inputs with ‘mono’ unbalanced jack leads , when I remove them from the interface input the noise disappears . i will one day change these leads for balanced

My midi keyboard is fine , but the app won’t talk to the computer the computer does not have Bluetooth and the phone won’t talk midi to it via cable

Truth is the app is called weeel https://klevgrand.se/products/weeel looks the biz and for 99p , with cable or Bluetooth connectivity, I thought worth the punt , I can’t find instructions! after googling I found apps and drivers that all purport to enable midi connectivity midimittr , loopmidi but I couldn’t get them to sort themselves out The PC doesn’t have Bluetooth so that’s a no go the piano / keyboard is a proper digital /midi affair that I am pretty much wedded to , unless my uncle Dave can find another shipping container consignment for an insurance write off reaper is a PITA to write pitch bend midi data into I thought adding a little bit of kit to play with would be an absolute cinch so all in all , I thank you all for your kind input , but I’ll park the idea until I find that GAS for one bites a lot harder
