  1. Truth is the app is called weeel https://klevgrand.se/products/weeel looks the biz and for 99p , with cable or Bluetooth connectivity, I thought worth the punt , I can’t find instructions! after googling I found apps and drivers that all purport to enable midi connectivity midimittr , loopmidi but I couldn’t get them to sort themselves out The PC doesn’t have Bluetooth so that’s a no go the piano / keyboard is a proper digital /midi affair that I am pretty much wedded to , unless my uncle Dave can find another shipping container consignment for an insurance write off reaper is a PITA to write pitch bend midi data into I thought adding a little bit of kit to play with would be an absolute cinch so all in all , I thank you all for your kind input , but I’ll park the idea until I find that GAS for one bites a lot harder
  2. Im ready to put mine up ....ooh er missus Not being particularly au fait with the deads , I had a listen through to some toons and quite enjoyed it, cheers Douglas. Now musically, I just got the guitars out and bashed a few chords and tried to add different some variation in the patterns to reflect their penchant to jam from one to another, though I did keep a theme through it. Lyrically, the only thing that I could really come up with as that this picture could well have been the bumper sticker mentioned in Don Henleys boys of summer , so that is the way I went. Drums are EZ drummer , rhythm guitar- vg iron , other guitar- a red ibby, acoustic -yammy, keys - technicy , Bass- gordon smithy .....er just a warning ........vocals by me aswell
  3. I’m pretty sure I haven’t got the capability on my machine
  4. Ok I don’t understand the words , but I’ve sussed the concept of it i thought I was looking for what reaper calls ‘envelopes’ that I often see for volume or panning but no...... in the midi editor , there is a scroll list which offers the facility to mess with the pitch it’s not very intuitive but hey , one small step for lurks , cheers BRX
  5. The computer doesn’t seem to have blue tooth , so I’ve got to upgrade it to windows 8.1 then I think it does , oh I am not looking forward to this , but hey ho
  6. There are lots of words on the topic but I can honestly say that they sound way too complicated and I don’t understand half of them !
  7. Many thanks for that , I’ve seen stuff that shows it, but it seems like I am missing a right chunk of knowing anything about it The piano has no wheels , as it were, so I am stuck I guess !
  8. May be I’m missing something ? either way a cable has to come back from the pedal board to an amp? Get a longer lead to go an extra bit around the front of the pedal board , or go wireless
  9. I have a keyboard that I have connected to the PC which sends the midi via usb , I remember a faff setting it up , but it works , the only bit that it doesn’t do is pitch bend/modulation stuff and I would like to play with this as a thing. now I could go out and buy a controller and am very close to doing so , but do I really need another bit of kit in my room? I’m not sure I do , so a bit of searching finds a little iPhone app that seems to do the job , 99pence , that’s got to be worth a punt , but here we go again and it’s a proper ball ache. i have searched and read so much crap my head is nearly done in and I am sure there is a really simple first step to take but the crux is , how the f**k do I get midi from the phone to the computer , once the connection is good , I can tell reaper to use it , but getting actual midi signal to the PC is the first hurdle many thanks all
  10. I have heard a pipe banned , and I don’t think it will change any time soon
  11. Woah , calm down tiger .......... I had to sit down when I read that heretical gem . ba***pes are not a joking matter
  12. Try writing and recording , it’s also a bit frustrating sometimes but you’ll be amazed at satisfying it can be when you nail a half decent one. it keeps those musical fingers active as well
  13. I did only 3 last year , all deps for the guy who replaced the guy who replaced me in the band . 3 wedding gigs over 2 weekends in August , and honestly , if I had realised what they had sold them for , I probably wouldn’t have done them! I like the lads mind and I wouldn’t want them embarrassed and sold up crapcreek
  14. For those who have had any interest piqued , the January challenge can be found here
  15. I loved gigging , but I also love doing lots of other things , having had my diary prioritised by the band commitments , I had missed out on loads of family and friends occasions that I really wanted to do. A couple of well timed aggravations in the band setting was just enough for me to realise that my priorities now lie outside the band .
  16. Nah I left the band and can now do whatever the f**k I want to on a Saturday
  17. Bizarrely, if I was gigging on a Saturday it felt like my prep was all afternoon, I couldn’t get around the fact I had to be thinking about getting prepped ! Friday gigs were far better , I worked all day, went home and then had half an hour to get my shizz together , it felt I hadn’t wasted half a day thinking about it
  18. Well done all , a great turnout, and some splendiferous performances, I think it’s @Dad3353 turn to pick a photo if he would like to, as he took the honours back in November
  19. My thoughts exactly
  20. do you have any other instruments to try with it ? Can you hear the bass while monitoring it with headphones either through the DAW or direct from the onyx?
  21. I was waiting for someone else to see the obvious but refuse to quit , it’s your gig , let the guitarist walk , give it a couple of weeks , then quit , ticks most boxes
  22. It’s like the general economy in micro , while people have confidence in the value of these things, the value will hold up , but if the value in a guitar is that it was a present from grandad, mum and dad or wife for instance , or it was one that has particular band or gig memories. then keeping it on a stand in the corner of the room is value enough. Nail it to a wall as a decoration or as a cherished memory, fine by me, I think an emotional attachment to an instrument is easily as important as its monetary value
  23. Or 5 voted for 2 , or 2 voted for 3 and 2 for 2 or .,....... That happens , it always has , I don’t think we need to make it an offence mind I guess if someone finds an entry particularly worthy of a single vote to show their view of its quality then so be it. or maybe they just don’t RTFM ed to add it is not regarded as good etiquette to vote for your own entry ladies and gents
