  1. If it's done my mr Whittaker you can call it Rogering if you like !
  2. A voiceover artist would definitely be a vocalist , as he is vocalising the words , but the minute you put them on a melody you will be singing it , so it has to be singer , simple really , non of your trendy vocalist wordage , it's just not big or clever 😂
  3. You've certainly sent us on an odd tack it seams
  4. Oh that's right , manipulating the thread again 😁
  5. Maybe they don't spend enough time worrying and debating these important terminological distinctions , typical vocalist attitude , singers would care 😁
  6. Absolutely , but I get the impression that real singers are getting landed with the term vocalist and I think they are better than that 😂
  7. Yeah I get that and I think calling a singer a vocalist seems to be a let down on the singer Well , I think that can be easily put to the test , I am sure that you are bawling your eyes out when you listen to my vocalising on my composition entries 😎
  8. I responded to a JMB add 8 years ago , went to an audition and just kept turning up , just over a year ago the rhythm guitar left so now we are a 4 piece , I still keep turning up , and seem to have got a 25% pay rise 😉
  9. Yep , but it's mission creep , I think the word 'vocalist' is becoming trendy and fashionable and I don't like it it's being used far to often I reckon, and should be put on hold for a while, before we know it , we won't have any singers any more
  10. Yep , not a clue here either , but best wishes 👍
  11. Well , kind of , jazz /pop can be just, well, vocal noises , Doobey doos , la la la's , scat and the like , but singing 🤔
  12. Yeah , but you can vocalise a bass line or a guitar solo , and OK , you can vocalise a written word by just speaking , surely a better way would be to call a singer , er, a singer 🤔
  13. Just a thought, but I read loads of posts referring to the singer , warbler or the like as a 'vocalist' the term somehow doesn't seem right to me , allowing for the fact that Dad will link a dictionary definition 😉 , how does the term sit with others ?
  14. A reminder 😎
  15. A reminder 😎
  16. If you insert all the wav files on a new track in a DAW don't they automatically embed themselves st the start ? If all the tracks were recorded simultaneously , surely if the start points are the same they should be very close ? I am just stabbing at this by the way
  17. well, Lurksalittle is away next week so I may as well post it already, I have put together some truly ridiculous pastiche to pay homage to the painting. enjoy classroom sounds were from freesound.org/people/reinsamba/sounds/73178/
  18. I haven't got logic , but am I missing something here ? If you have all the files , does that mean each instrument has its own track , and of so can you not just ditch the bass one ?
  19. Mine is nearly done , I am struggling with the voicing though as lurksalittle is in a 'non co-operational' phase at the minute which is causing a little friction shall we say 🙁 Ed to add and then I listened to the entries to far and 'Lethargy' seems to fit Lurksalittles current disposition quite aptly 😂 Jazz.........Niiiiiice
  20. We did a quick scratch of the 3 lions as well , everyone sang along and that was all that mattered really 😂
