A bit of a load in tonight , I had to unload the van myself π The only problem is when I leave I'll be driving over the dance floor π³
-
I'd have some wellies ready , when it starts it's not going to stop π But @Dad3353 is on the money , hi biz green would be 'in' π
-
F Fuzzy blue blobs are where it's at dude and my ditty is sketched out and recorded as a draft , it needs plenty of additions that I will have to negotiate , but I'm hopeful that the 'simplistic' nature of the picture will be reflected by my simplistic idea
-
No thanks , the actual painter and title has no relevance for my take on it
-
I have an idea , it's a touch odd like the picture , but it's an idea π
-
There's another one π Being a fashion guru and generally presenting myself carefully , I found on too many occasions I would have the highly embarrassing scenario of encountering Blue Harbour dressers , while being similarly Blue Harbour adorned . I have since found that the Barnardos and local hospice outlets offer far more individual style potential

Doh , 1001

A crappy picture will be a perfect match for my ability

@Skol303 The mighty Skolster will do the deed , I just hope he is not away for the morning , though I suspect he is just sitting waiting for his internet to fire up so that he give the photo the urgent attention that is needed π
-
Yes, yes, yes , but where is the picture , if I don't get a valid excuse to be busy, I'll get dragged off to church , the bells are ringing already π³

I took cash the first time as they hadn't 'invited' us to invapay. effectively , the pub sends you an email, you then have to follow a link to set yourself up . You then take, or email the pub, an invoice for the gig fee and the pub then raise a payment ticket on invapay The pub then pay invapay , who, a week later, pay you and charge 2.5% for the privilege , the money goes into the bank account you chose when you set up your invapay account. I think you have to go to your account and confirm some details to approve the payment, but It is not an intuitive process on the whole. I only do 3 gigs a year there so I have to think it through each time myself π€

Well done Mark , well deserved win π

Just returned from a bouncing gig in town , it was races today so there were plenty of well oiled punters about. A couple of loose cannons but nothing outrageous so a good time was had by all , they really were shouting for more but the midnight curfew put that idea to bed

I ordered some 4 weeks ago , there was another thread that I commented on , but can't find it, anyway its not gone well so far π€ 1. All the correspondence went to my email junk file so I was a bit embarrassed when I chased them up for the documentation π³ 2. The first appointment at boots for the mould impressions was cancelled as they only booked a 15minute appointment and needed 30 3... the second appointment failed as I had wax in my ears 4.... the third attempt fell over as the audiologist was unexpectedly off work 5 ..the fourth attempt was done , it only took 10 minutes π³π³ 6... it appears that the mould impressions taken were not deep enough so we have to start again I'm going to a different place this time , though boots have put Β£20 on the wife's advantage card π

Voted , top quality again , and thanks to all for what seems a healthier vote count as well this monthπ Last chance for a few more though π

Lighting for weddings and other functions
lurksalot replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
I use 5 of the ADJ Tri Pars through a ryger foot controller . Every venue is different as lots have plenty of ambient lighting so the floods/blackouts and even the fades and sequences are lost . but smaller gigs I light the ceilings as it spreads really well , always have a stage front pointing at the bass drum as it both lights the kit and shines back out . The others cross light the stage at floor level , with a cheap mirror machine on a stand facing the front occasionally. It is surprising how many bands have nothing to offer for lighting , it does make a differenceπ -
Total fail , this rig should NEVER leave the bedroom π
-
Woah now , I'm still trying to nobble the software to give myself my three votes though in all fairness , the wife says I'm not too good at nobbling things , so I guess I'll just clean the keyboard ready for the next one , but I'll keep a little space on the wall just in case I get lucky enough for another certificate ππ
-
Well I'll go for the obvious one ... stacking all your kit in front of a solid door so that anyone coming through it will destroy everything and causing themselves an injury in the process π

Or that the Germans invented beer mats ! -
Does your mother know rocks out really well , we could never quite get dancing queen to work in the set
-
We do and we often claim it was a request π
-
http://www.nme.com/news/music still available on that t'internet thing , you auldies need to savvy up , π Chrimbo I tell ya , fill yer stockings π»
-
We regularly announce songs as requests , it engages the punters quite well cos although we might not have time to do all the requests , at least they know we are trying , we get away with as long as they don't see the set list π
