  1. Well done @Mornats a worthy winner indeed , congratulations ?
  2. I've gone short scale , no regrets here with regard playability , just hankering now for the right tone , and as my love of the spector tone means I need a Spector shorty , but the price of them is beyond me , I recall Vinny had a daisy rock short scale that played beautifully
  3. I've voted , and mine is almost done for next month to be fair we had a right good laugh at the idea and having done a rough mix , lurksalittle loved it , so we should have some family participation again , I am really hanging my hat on the hope that my lad has still got a singing voice , if he can deliver on this it will be proper fun
  4. I think Skol has kept it to 1 vote for this month due to the smaller field
  5. A touch surprising really as I thought the picture would offer a bit of scope , still, easier to pick your choice
  6. A bonus gig last , I got a tag in a FB post by a mate for a pub that had a band cancel for the Friday , I contacted the band got availability and booked it ! Proper price, 2hrs playing and a great step into a pub/town we've been trying for a while , we had a dozen came to see us and a promise of three gigs next year. we had them bouncing by the end of the night, our sound was great and we played really well. a right result ?
  7. I had to wait a day for my ozone code but it came through on email no probs , I am much like Fingers , I probably need my ears educating rather than keep forking out for lots of kit that does the same thing but in different ways , non of which I seem to be able to master ?
  8. you get the mastering assistant in the elements version as well , but not the referencing tool I think
  9. Maybe , but then you can decide if it does the job of rolling my current offering in glitter when I've uploaded the new version
  10. The version I have looks like that but with fewer options across the top , eq , imager and maximiser , but there are a stack of presets to play with it, will take me a month to work which one I like best for each tune ?
  11. If the imager is like a splatter gun graphic then that comes as a link in the 8 main screen , I don't know how to read that though so it is a bit random to me ?
  12. I'll be honest I don't know how much more control I have but there is a lot more detail on the 8 screen and the presents seem more like a pop up
  13. A great insight Bilbo , and in reflection I can see some similarities , bizzarrely the band I'm in seem to be trying to do more functions , thus party tunes seem to be the thing , not a problem in themselves but they don't seem to be giving the musical attention to the party tunes as they can 'jam' them , this is definitely having a derogatory effect on my playing , this is more to attitudes and motivation I would think , still will work it through and resolve it , recognising it is the first step I guess !
  14. I've succumbed to this one ? I haven't had a chance to play with them properly yet though , a quick blast on this months compo entry does brighten it up somewhat, so I might just upload a new version before the vote goes up ed to add , I thought I was buying ozone 7 elements , but the download was for 8 , the authorisation code was for the 7 but was accepted for the ozone 8 , I don't know if I have won a great upgrade , but it's an extra 1 so all is good ?
  15. Played a small local pub last night , a lovely little pub which has had a bit of money spent on it and it looks nice. The stage area filled at least 30% of the room ! And we played to 19 people and a dog , we brought all bar the dog an enjoyable evening , though it does amaze me that the landlord was in the bar playing pool and having a drink with the 3 others in there while paying for 2 bar staff all evening , I don't get that !
  16. I don't actually perform any of my compositions except for the fewest takes it needs to get it recorded , but I'm the same, at a real push I could 'sing' along to a couple of songs but never perform them without reading the lyrics , but I guess as it is never an option to perform them, I lack the motivation to learn them perfectly
  17. Sold a Zoom B9.1 to Pete , excellent BCer, buy, trade or sell in confidence with this gentleman ?
  18. The Lurks household has an idea for next month , myself and lurksalittle had a brainstorm we need to sort an arrangement and then get stuck in. If it works it will be a lark ?
  19. I'm in and had great fun with this , I learned an absolute shedload of stuff doing this , my midi is getting much better , i can even overdub it now So in deference to Dads deafness I have kept the verses relatively empty as the words are so stupid he might want to hear them better Lurksalittle makes an appearance on this as well , I think she thought I put a bit more effort in to this , it certainly has a more Lurksy feel to it so enjoy if you can ........... wacky, an auto in bed feature ooh er missus
  20. Had a great gig last night , our set is heading a touch more 'party' rock and when the pub is dancing through both sets , it seems to be preesing the right buttons , fun from start to finish
  21. Now THAT's the first Topic on the new site

    Whizzzy

Just bought a mixer from Colin Excellent experience , I would have no hesitation of buying from, selling to or trading with Colin
  23. Bloody spellcheckers ! At least it didn't corrupt drummists
  24. I'm sure its a belter Dad, I'll listen when mine is more concrete I have just learnt proper midi manipulation of my EZ drummer 2, so expect some ......... er ..........random drummisting as I try and put all the bits together. the lyrics are writ, and suitable, if not initially obvious as to why, but as is my want, I tend to hit on a couple of words and go all around the houses to try and make them fit
