  1. 4 awful sounds for me bagpipes, recorder, a kazoo and sadly my own vocal tones I generally have to overcome my voice issues as I don't like putting on others to do the dirty deed in the composition challenge , but if given the opportunity I would have someone else sing instead of me. Ed having said that, as my lad did the vocal for my last one , I did ask him how my studio 'etiquette' was while directing and working with him , and he was happy with the process and enjoyed it. As he has done a bit of work in real studios , I took a bit of confidence from that
  2. I was looking for the right 'like' button for that comment , but I can't see a slow downward look whilst shaking the head
  3. I started from scratch with reaper , I probably still haven't got a defined 'workflow' and as a strict hobbyist , I feel the OP pain, there is no way I would be auditioning different DAW's to pick one, having gone through the DAW learning curve from scratch , even the language being used got me for a while
  4. Drifting somewhat , but all the mashing, brewing and conditioning is done in metal vessels when done commercially. If samples from the same brew were stored for a couple of months in a bottle and cans, then compared while drinking them from a glass , I don't reckon there would be any difference. I think I might have a look at this while I have a moment or two , drinking for science . To drag back on topic, just about , are vintage wines ,better, tastier etc , I doubt it , just that the investors in wine snobbery need to protect their investments . Snobbery , mines better than yours because I'm a snob
  5. Absolutely , similar with art , antiques , classic cars etc there comes an investment factor which relies on confidence , the old stuff will always be talked up by those with influence as they probably have a vested interest in the value of the things .
  6. 😂 many thanks Dad , and thanks to everyone who voted , I am really pleased that you all enjoyed it , we certainly did. the gang will be chuffed to bits with this Again a great selection to choose from so well done to everyone involved , have a great new year
  7. Can we get back on topic, which I believe was laundering fake fenders
  8. I'd like to thank you both for steaming over the thread(s) , you have really stepped up to the crease
  9. The only thing that bugs me a touch is that a lot of these awards of 'empire' are to people who don't even reside in the 'empire' let alone the country 😂 I suppose they might invest their millions in the U.K though 😂
  10. It's not one of @Skol303 mixes but I think his current favourite Reaper mix 😂😂
  11. I have those in black with white speaker , they are very sonically transparent , and don't upset my good lady .......too much
  12. It's alright for you , you do it in your garage 😜 My Mrs holds no influence over the state / management / or contents of my garage either 😂😂
  13. Always delivering , do you do it in 4 different sizes
  14. don't put the logo on it though , I don't want anyone to know
  15. I didn't buy a Fender , mainly because I couldn't be confident it was a real one
  16. Simple strap line when anyone asks "radio 2 rock" Pretty much a middle ground running from Abba to AC/DC with a little bit of punk thrown in , just about everything we do would be on the Radio 2 playlist and generally people get the picture quite quickly without me trying to remember the set list
  17. Thanks for that buddy , that was the hope we had when we did it , 3 generations having a good laugh , even SWMBO couldn't help smiling at the end
  18. He's only 2 but just like the daughter , prefers a nice big box to play with rather than the toys that came in it
  19. I can't compete with that sort of promotion , however , little Albus says Vote for meeeeeeeeee
  20. Doh , I just spent 8.75 this very morning !
  21. I would take "gain" as being "added" value due to the incorrect labelling in this instance
  22. I will quote you on this and highlight the pertinent bits The issue is gain or loss , if their is an abscence of "a view to gain for himself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another" might this seem as definitive as you claim? To be honest this community is pretty hot on things like this , and as far as Fender are concerned they are probably quite happy to see there brand being promoted everywhere and as long as this site is clear as to what is being sold and that there is no-one with "a view to gain for himself or another, or with intent to cause loss to another" in the process I think it seems quite clear. I base this analysis on the above quote as it is your argument , not as a point of law , though it may still apply
  23. I use a ryger machine https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ryger-FL-P1-Multi-LED-Controller/dp/B00J5I0RN8 not programmable but with the led par cans there are about 100 chase and fades etc very easy to use with a step on flood and blackout , limitations definitely , but certainly a 'turn on and let it get on with it' bit of kit
  24. Did no-one mention to check the gap before the spark plug was fitted .....and to check the colour of the deposits on the plug coming out , fuel /air mixtures also need discussing here
