Brilliant work again gentlemen , a great listen through

A quick heads for you all with regards the cost of the event . After Chris's negotiations we can confirm that with drinks (tea and coffees) and a light sandwich buffet included the cost will be £8.00 a head which is payable on the day in coin of the realm please This should cover contingencies and might leave a little left for a donation or to help fund future events . There is a bar if anyone wishes to order any other drinks or meals as required. We would suggest everyone bring their own needs in the way of sockets and an extension lead , we may need to do a bit of daisy chaining around the hall. Any other ideas , suggestions or questions just fire them out and we will have a look at them , though as an initial meetup we are hoping to keep this as simple as possible but take some feedback after the event to get a feel of how it goes . I am hesitant to offer much input here because the idea hasn't grabbed me from day 1, only for the reason that I rarely find the interest in solo bass playing, whether that be some of the 'greats' showing their chops or some simple riff work or noodles, the quality of the playing is irrelevant it is just something that doesn't float my boat. I think a noodle thread for both the production and the discussion seems an obvious choice , for the input of the time and energy to collate and post the poll in regard of a challenge would need to be based on more interest and involvement. I think Twincams passion for the thing is commendable , it just needs a consistent handful to join the fold and it would generate the interest better.

we'll see what nexts months comp brings and if it guitars I might invest in 2nd Gen one myself

Chris (Funkgod) has been in negotiations with the venue to provide a simple sandwich buffet and a supply of teas and coffees , we will hope to put it all together and come up with a cost per head , but it will be at most £10 , and that will probably leave a few pennies in the kitty for subsequent bashes or get togethers or a donation to a worthy cause. Ped has kindly donated BC lanyards for the event so we should be able to hang our names around our necks to identify each other, I think Skol is generally the one with the red carnation though

Its particularly the chorus that reminds me of an instrumental theme which puts pictures of the south of France or the Italian coast with open top sports cars and pretty girls , I dont know why , maybe I am always thinking of that image Possibly early colour film type genre, I could be well wide of the mark but an old tune is definitely there

Its not just the music though is it . If your front man and band engages the audience you can play any tune you want , you will have them onside , put on a show, throw some lights at it , look interested and make like you want to be there and you can play the same set as the next band , but its a totally different experience

This is an incredible journey and long may it continue to inspire people like me who start without a clue, but just getting the confidence to make music and publish it is truly fantastic.

Wow , a snapshot at about now is on the one hand fantastic many thanks, as I appear to have pipped it by one vote, but on the other hand tinged with a touch of disappointment. By now, Douglas (Dad3353) would have thrown a certificate at me , but as is obvious by his lack of an entry, he is not well, and seriously not well . It sounds just sales banter to me , IIRC they are selling up and want shut of stock , so it's likely just positioning to encourage exposure and sales , seems like it is working !!
