Welcome to the forum Fingers I am not familiar with the Boss micro BR , but in general the trick is to work out if the 'track' actually exists as the individual parts or whether it adds the parts together and combines them. If it just exists as one 'track' then I fear you are stymied on that one , though someone more knowledgeable will probably be along shortly with some more accurate analysis.

fair play dude , that sounds like a result The lunchtime party was a great afternoon , we were asked to keep the volume well down so could hardly hear myself over the drums , but everyone enjoyed it, the kids were ace , and we gave out loads of cards , so a few parties might come off it , though we were offered 1 and had to decline as the date is already committed , so I suggested that rather than do a shared 50th party with his wife , do a shared 51st party next year and book early , I think we might get some joy from that source he still likes the idea of a party we let the youngsters on 'stage' and play tambourines and dance along and at the end 2 four year olds dueted 'Let it go' from frozen when we were breaking down. we let them do it because we said we might try it , and er forgot , they sang it all the way through with no backing and it was sooooo cute , it brought the house down with the best cheer of the day . client was chuffed and handed more cards out for us

WE played a fairly new venue for us , a pub in Mold , not exactly heaving but very enthusiastic, our sound seemed to be really crisp , and everything had its place , lead guitar had some new toys and used them quite sparingly , so when he needed them they worked brilliantly . booked 2 more dates for later in the year , so another result Off to do a lunchtime party/ pub gig later , I am not sure how this will go , loads of kids I am sure , but as long as they get rocking on the dance floor , we will party
Very good. It scared me a little bit. Well done.
many thanks
I used a 2i2 for a while they are great bits of kit. I'm glad you found something that works. It makes all the difference, having the right gear.
Cheers , but it is spot on though , I have a habit of make do and mend , and sometimes it just gets in the way , don't get me wrong I will often find a way of doing something in an unorthadox way , but if you haven't used kit that just works, then I found I was just kidding myself and going backwards at the same time ! Back to the matter in hand , I have a folk song for you , the lyrics are printed with the description as my Russian is a touch rusty , it probably needed a Peter Ustinov VST to do them justice , but nevertheless I give you https://soundcloud.com/lurksalot/from-russia I hope you enjoy

It frustrated the hell out of me , but being a bit daft I persevered with it , worst mistake ( or at least one of them) I made . I then bought the little 2i2 and my recording life has been transformed , it just works , it still amazes me how simple the process has become , the composing and playing now take the time knowing that I can record it relatively straight-forwardly.
Mine is going exceptionally well.... in my head. I just need to find a way of switching off the *epic music removal filter* located somewhere between my brain and hands now... have checked and it's definitely not an effects pedal. James

This.
Now I don't have that problem , I produce absolute masterpieces, time after time , full of epic music, effects and atmosphere. Of course , when my masterpieces hit your 'epic music removal filter ' they probably sound like heaps of crap , but then , its your filter , mine is just fine
Now I have to say, I'm coming to love windows 8 'plug & play'. Downloaded Audacity, connected a Zoom B2.1U to the laptop et voila, recording capability without faffing. It just worked.
I started with a zoom b2.1u , it does work , but I recall latency and monitoring issues made it a bit of a pain and vocals/ mics through it were patchy and the playback was odd , and the recording levels and the.................... I was on XP mind, but it got me started

Well , a bit of googling and I found myself a choir , I am not sure I can teach it the words but I will have a play with it
-
I am struggling at the moment . Very untypically for me, I have the idea in my head and I can hear it , I have 'lyrics' written , but I really need a Russian male 300 voice choir VST if anyone knows one, preferably a free one On the plus side , I now know a hell of a lot more about Napoleons exploits and European political geography around 1812 , it did seem very complicated for a tea-time kerfuffle . oohh , the teatime kerfuffle shuffle , , no , no ............Hmmmmm

I have just bought one of Paul's designed T shirts, and while technically from an online store, Paul was very helpful in making the design available for me. On Saturday evening, I enquired about a design he had done , but could not find to buy, he said he would ask about it it for me. An hour later the store had hosted the design , I bought it , and it arrived on the Tuesday . That'll do for me

come on in the waters lovely , plenty of room here , you are most welcome to put something together and join in the fun.
Just out of interest, is it within the rules to take a relatively well-known classical piece (played badly by me!) and muse on it?
I think you are ok with the classical piece , but Muse , surely not , there must be a plug-in for that
Might change my name to Tchaikovsky and give this one a go.....
Myke-ovsky perhaps fill your boots , great to see you involved. Come on Dad , we are still waiting

Well done indeed , excellent piece and worthy of the top spot

On your last gig, which number went down the best?
lurksalot replied to leschirons's topic in General Discussion
We have found that Kayleigh bombed , tried it a number of times aswell , the Jam stuff goes down quite well but yes..
I think it was probably Sweet Home Alabama or 500 Miles on Friday, it was that sort of band and that sort of venue
They both got them properly bouncing , even though we only 'jam' 500 miles , oh and Bryan Adams every time -
After several listens to all compositions, and a lot of thought 'cos they ALL have much merit ,my votes in no particular order this month will go to : Skol: really liked this especially the cool bass playing, and general feel of the track. Dad: for some nice creative touches throughout. Lurksalot: For doing something totally out of the box! Cheers, James
Many thanks , James , and my other voter
Ok, I'm going to try deleting McBass' track from the voting. There is a chance this may crash the poll and break the Internet! Wish me luck... EDIT: it worked! Phew
Well done that man , did you get a reason for the withdrawal ?

March Play(s...) of the Day (New, improved, formula...)...
lurksalot replied to Dad3353's topic in General Discussion
Cheers Dad , you got it , that's brilliant ,it really is .
Dad your a hero... There is more time and effort gone into your reviews than any of us put in to the actual compositions...
I will concur absolutely Rob , it's a bit special -
I think the white T works, it makes the smile look like you are enjoying it
Thanks for the advice guys. I've already asked many of the questions suggested and am strugging to get clear information. The gig came about via a friend of our singer. His band are making their way from Stornaway
Wow , I suppose there are no big city lights up that way , but all that glistens isn't gold , that is one hell of a commitment on a whim , unless he is being promised something very big ( by someone trustworthy) it is not worth the journey , dreams might carry a lot of the load down there , but the dissapointment is a heavier load on the way back up .
I start with colour. Everything else is negotiable.
cost and budget

Who is gigging over the Easter weekend?
lurksalot replied to Happy Jack's topic in General Discussion
Easter Saturday we are at the White Lion Ok , its in Buckley just over the border into North Wales , barely a spit and a kick from Brum -
I liked it , but maybe it was a tune written a while ago , and entered without realising the regs .
