Looking good , and better still ... sounding good , or not sounding at all if that makes sense

I think Lurksalittle might take the driving seat with this one , she has had an idea , and might actually be doing some work on it !!

This Sometimes stuff just works and it seems miraculous , I am very much growing into the camp that believes it is worth getting kit that does the job, rather than to spend time and effort on workarounds which invariably do no more than teach you that it is best to get the kit that just works in the first place.

I think I can associate myself with those remarks Reaper is just superb , but I would suggest that it is not 'intuitive' . To a new user of recording software and the process , I would argue that non are actually intuitive , the first steps are definitely the hardest , but I would agree that Reaper has fantastic support, from the Cockos forums which are very helpful through to the You Tube tutorials which hold your hand through nearly any function you need and loads you never even thought of , so while slow small steps are the way to proceed , with Reaper you will find plenty of help.

I have a number I have bought over the years , but rather than put them under the bed I just hang them on a wall now, they look quite good and are like living photographs , they remind me of stuff that happened when I used them , and I can still pick them off a hanger and play them whenever I want to .

If a voter has actually identified a run away favourite for themselves , it might mean that they read the rules as if they could use up to 3 votes but choose just 1 , you yourself lamented that the 3 votes could not go on 1 entry , therefore casting just 1 vote would actually provide sole benefit to the track of preference

I do try , but I do have a story that is inspirational in this regard , though I will have to wait till the dust is settled before I dare tell well , maybe not , but I like to think so ........................still not telling though

I tend to get all excited about trying to write and record something, then, when its done and published, I feel a bit gutted that I have finished it , but then when voting pops, up I am happy cos I know its not long till the next one

, so many options now , I was just under the impression that real life compression was a better option really , rather than relying on the software but I don't want to keep buying stuff. Some how it seems to sound different if I put a bit of compression on the signal before it gets to reaper , I may be imagining it but it does feel more real , if that makes the slightest bit of sense

In my quest to preserve my hearing I am looking for a new outboard compressor, for my sweet vocal tones , not specifically for the sound quality , but because the one I have is a touch big and, well, ugly and SWMBO is giving my ears grief over it , so .... I have come across the FNC RNC 1773 and it gets plenty of love , so it seems a must have , but, it comes just as a compressor, and the big ugly one I have is a focusrite tool with a preamp/gain adjustment/phantom power malarky. Does this mean I will need to source a pretty mic preamp as well as the pretty compressor, as I might just have to resort to putting the big ugly one in a cupboard when I am not using it , but I am then less likely to use it if I have to set it up each time and I can't expect lurksalittle to bother , she is a proper lardy arsed teenager now . Thanks in advance

210 on top of the 212 vertically for me aswell , I really don't need them both but it does help me to hear myself , it takes up a tiny footprint , and it looks cool

We played a new one for us last night , the pub opens and gets shut down a fair bit ,but the new landlord is hoping to make s go of it. Lead guitars amp packed in after the sound check so me and rhythm had a bit more sonic space until he fixed it , that was good But we pulled in a decent crowd , the best he has seen since taking over , so LL was very happy and gave us an extra £50 and got his diary out , so a good night all round . ed to add , Ive just remembered that the LL provided drinks, served to the band and even helped us load out
