The bass weighs in at 8 1/4 lbs according to my Leeda fishing scales... the heaviest thing they've ever weighed

13 x 400 x 400mm (I think) wedge acoustic treatment tiles. Approx 2in thick. Polyurethane fire retardant. I bought a job lot a few years ago when I built a small home studio and this is what is left over.

£10 collected from north Leeds. They're quite bulky, but light so I reckon shipping would be OK and probably under a tenner.

I've run out of picture space so I'll have a clear out and post photos shortly.

I've got a large, heavy duty wheeled flight case up for grabs. It was being disposed of at work and originally contained an orthopaedic training kit for hip implants and has the original custom interior but I got permission to buy it off them and my thinking was to strip it out and refit it to my needs.... but as usual with bright ideas it never came to pass, and now I need to clear the garage out because I'm selling my house. It would be an easy strip and refit though.

It's in extremely good condition externally. It has two wheels on the bottom edge and a retracting handle at the top so you can wheel it about and crash it in to peoples ankles, just like all the folks at Heathrow! Two sprung handles on each end and lockable clasps.

It does have the original corporate branding on the outside and the kit layout on the inside (including a picure of a pelvis!) so there's a real quirk factor......

Approx dimensions are 1000mm x 500mm x 500mm, but I forgot to measure it earlier - it's a good size though.

What's it worth... lets say £[s]40[/s] 30. Given the size and the value, shipping probably isn't cost effective, but collection from north Leeds or I'll deliver/meet up for free within half an hour's drive or so.

I'm finally selling my Polytone MiniBrute 3. My dad bought this for me in the mid 80's so it's taken a while to find the strength to do it but an impending house build is forcing a good clear out. There's a label, partly removed on the back that says 9/85 and this would be about right since I was 18 that year. Its had a bit of use but never got seriously gigged because I soon afterwards bought a Session 4x10.

So it is what it is - 100w of fet power in to a 1x15. Some minor scuffs to the vinyl covering but nothing major. Everything works as it should wit no crackly pots even after all this time. In all astonishing condition for a 30year old amp and it still sounds great. Quality stuff and perfect for small gigs and equally at home with bass guitar or double bass.

£125 ovno, collected from North Leeds or I will ship at cost no issue - £15 seems to cover it. I'm also happy to deliver or meet up within half an hours drive or so.

I'm moving house, actually more accurately I'm building a house, and if anyone here has already done it I take my hat off to you because it's scary as hell while at the same time being one of the most exciting things I've ever done.

Needless to say I need to slim down the herd and raise as much cash as I can so I'll be selling quite a bit of stuff that I've collected over the years and I'll list most of it in a consolidated thread, but worthy of a separate listing is my Shuker Jazz bass.

I bought it directly from Jon in 2010 so it's a one owner extremely low mileage example.... It's never been gigged although I have used it at home for some recordings and practise, but it's always lived in its case and it is absolutely as new, not a mark on it.

Ash body with black grain fill and satin green lacquer
Cream three ply, one piece scratchguard
Maple neck, satin finish
Madagascar Rosewood fretboard (rare apparently)
Brass nut
Stainless steel frets
Gotoh bridge
Hipshot ultralite tuners
Delano JC4AL/M2 Pickups (noiseless alnico split coils)
Aguilar OBP2 preamp with passive bypass
Black hardware

It's currently wired Vol/Bal/Stack tone, but I'm happy to rewire it t Vol/Vol/ Stack tone if perferred that way.

It comes with a Kases hard foam case which fits it perfectly and provides excellent protection.

I had a chat with Jon about what this spec would cost now and he indicated £1400, so this has to be bargain at £725 [s]£750 (was £800)[/s], and I'll certainly listen to sensible offers.

Just go for it and have fun.... utterly disposable at that price and you just might end up with a peach. A rear rout for the battery box will be a lot more convenient for battery changes. Buy a cheapy battery box from the internet. You might need a long drill bit to connect the cavities.

Thanks so much for the replies guys... I get it totally now. 250k on the input to the pre. Switch it so in passive the signal is routed straight to the jack and in active in to the pre.

Hey Luke - thanks so much for a superquick reply and from a 'local' too I see.

I'm just not getting it despite your uber helpful reply - I wish I was quicker with this stuff. As I read the diagram with the switch thrown to passive (top terminals closed in the diag) the signal is passed straight from the blend across the vol and to the jack, but in 'active' (bottom terminals closed) the signal passes from the blend through the pre so it's the preamp output that is passed across the vol. Wouldn't a 250k pot kill the preamp output in this scenario?
