I'd have to hear one before buying. Nv610 that is. Never played through a sealed cab before. Obviously you loose some perceived volume compared to a reflex design, like the old ampeg fridge.
I would recommend trying a nv610 before buying - never got on with the one i owned, tbh. Didn't realised I liked tweeters so much until I got that cab. The db410 on the other hand, I consider to be a real gem - bit of a vintage feel to it though with clear highs, in my view. Perfect match for the DB750/751. In fact sounded great with my Tecamp Puma too

Good luck indeed. Wizard produced great pickups at very reasonable cost.
For me it's the Aguilar every day. Fafner is big and powerful but doesn't have the 'musicality' of the Aggie. Deep, rich, warm and full of natural tone that I think the EBS struggles to replicate. Notes just seem to bloom and fill out as you're playing. The joy of the Aggie is that you just turn it on, plug in your bass and play. Maybe just minor tweaking but no need to spend hours fiddling with controls
Was meaning to ask you how you were getting on with rig!

Just been down to Euston station to meet Loz off the train and collect a truly magnificent bass. Loz is an absolute gent to deal with, though I think most here already knew that. Thanks again Lawrence and i promise that for the next transaction I will travel to meet you! P
Mike Senior's Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio. It's on Amazon, and it's not too expensive either. Plus he has a big website that compliments the book.
Ok thanks, I will have a look

Sad news indeed, been listening to a lot of 'JJ' today
That book you recommended to me - I was up all night reading it and messing about in Logic, then didn't fall asleep until 5am.
What book was that?

Nile Rogers & Chic at Glasto: On BBC 4 now!
Platypus replied to TRBboy's topic in General Discussion
Nile Rodgers got the bass player he wanted. If he was looking for a Bernard clone I'm sure he could have found someone to copy his style. It wastn't what he was looking to do. Nice vid below gives some background on how Jerry Barnes came to join Chic and how Nile regards him: http://youtu.be/O_VIub6YZ-0 -
