1. I met up with Greg yesterday to hand over a Jazz bass. This was the second transaction that we have done and I can happily recommend him to anyone. Easy to deal with, good communication - top man!
2.
GASP!! How is it that I always get quoted £40+ ?? Is it the insurance?? Nice bass, good luck mate.
£40+ seems very high to me
3.
Any trade?
No trades thanks, I'm just looking to reduce my small collection !
4.
Saw it yesterday, decided to sleep on it. Logged on to make you an offer this morn & D'oh, withdrawn! If you change yer mind??? PM me. All the best, Norm
well if it's any consolation, I wouldn't have been listening to offers on it..
5. Good luck with the new band WoT
6.
Is it all original as far as you know?
Edited to add a bit more detail: Serial number on headstock matches Fender sticker on pickguard the last four digits of the neck stamp - 11 74 indicate week = 11 year 7 (1977) day of week = 4 Pots serial numbers: 1377652 (week 52 of year 1976)
7.
...never seen them in that colour before too.
Erm, no you wouldn't have! I though the standard finish to be a bit dull - so I dropped the head around to a guitar cab maker in London - Zilla cabs - and picked out the tolex and grill cloth. He did and expert job in recovering the amp that gives it that retro look. Of course its not really a 'grill cloth' as there's no speakers involved - its just solid wood behind the cloth.
8. Here's a link to a Mesa Buster! sound file done by a guy over on Talk Bass: http://soundcloud.com/jack-payne-bass/buster-nv610-bass-demo
9. <<WITHDRAWN - No longer For Sale>> I've decided that I can't bear to part with beastie, even if i don't use it that much.. Mesa Boogie Buster all valve head for sale. Excellect condition and looking very start in a retro sort of way! Gives a great warm 200 watts of Mesa valve tone Comes with Mesa cover Price is £575 I'm in Harrow Middx and of course anyone is welcome to try it out
10. <<< NOW SOLD >>> For sale is my Fender Jazz 1977 in Black, rosewood board with blocks & bindings. It weighs in at 9 pounds, which is pretty light for a '70's fender jazz. Very good condition, with just some very light wear here and there. Frets are all good and has a lovely fender tone, nice and warm though can give a great '70's Fender growl. I recently restrung it with R Cocco nickel strings. I'm asking £1450 and I'm based in Harrow Middx. – any trial welcome. I can post within UK for £10 for rest of Europe it will be £30
11. Cracking bass and a bargain too, I think. If I wasn't looking to 'thin the herd' myself I'd be on this one for sure.
12. Those Cocco's are really great strings. I put a set on my Fender jazz recently, instead of the DR Lowriders that I normally use. Have to say I've been really impressed with them.
13. Basschat bargain of the day! Maybe even year...
14. Did an interesting trade deal with Kristofer recently, which involved a bass coming in to me from Stockholm and one from me going the other way. I can definitely recommend Kristofer to anyone here on Basschat.
15. Talk to Fingerz: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/44776-bass-teacher-cheshambucks/page__p__527551__hl__fingerz__fromsearch__1#entry527551
16. I bought a Mesa Boogie Buster head from Eddie last year and can confirm that he is a good guy to deal with. I can happily recommend Eddie to anyone here. P
17. Good stuf Mike, really enjoyed that that - would be interested to know a little more about how you worked in Ableton. I keep meaning to spend more time getting to grips with it, myself.
18. I put a set on a Fender Jazz a few months back, instead of my usual Lo-Riders and have been very impressed with the Cocco's. Not cheap strings, though as I don't often change my strings I'm not too bothered.
19. I sold a bass to Mauricio a few months back and forgot to start a feedback thread.... Great guy to deal with and I can recommend him to anyone here. P
20. Gotta love the Glock...... If a little nearer to me I would be very interested
21. Welcome to the forum, Mal
22. I just bought The MB200 from the 'For Sale' forum today and having spent the last hour playing through it have to agree it a great little amp. Great tone and incredible value

Bought a Gallien kruger MB200 head from Westie9 today, the plan was for him to post, though as he realised that he wasn't too far away he dropped it over to me this evening- which was nice! Really easy to deal with and amp is in excellent condition, as described Cheers Simon P
