13. I know it a bit more however, I think you should be talking to DMZ...... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=19900&hl=
Hello there, Anyone recommend a good budget 6 string bass? I tried a Hudson not long ago in Guitarguitar & quite liked it. I was originally looking at 5's but after trying the 6, I could put the extra string to good use. I know there's Peavey Grind for sale on here but I'm not looking to buy for a good few months yet & just wanna make a list of recommended basses to try. Is the Ibanez budget ones any good or would it disappoint due to having a 4 string one & kinda expecting the same sound. Cheers
Zoot cabs
Been looking at The Bass Merchant site and I've got GAS for a Markbass rig.But then I noticed the Zoot cabs. My question is this;I play in a fuction band whose material spans Motown, funk, classic rock and up to date pop.I use a 4x10 at the moment but would like more spread of sound. So would a 2x12 do it,does it have a frequency spike, and has anyone tried a Zoot cab?
Lee, It's a pity you weren't at the London Guitar Show over the weekend, as Zoot had the full range of cabs there and were demo, ing them using a Mark Bass R500 head. The 2 x 15 abd the 210 together sounded really good. They were also doing very good show discounts too.... P
15.
Acoustic Energy - original series and sat in a box for years! Sold to someone in the European Parliament in Brussels, maybe with more money than sense
ah ok - they will be adding them to their expenses claim P
16. I've bought a bass from CK and it was a good experience. I'ts worth buying/selling with Steve just to get the change to admire his impressive collection of all things bass P

19. I know, I'd live to compare the Epifani, the Shuttle 6 and the Mark Bass R500
20. Sounds like the Epifani is working for you - just as well after your experiences with the other heads. Shocking really, considering the sort of cash involved here (not to mention the weight !) P
21. Yep, and delivered in person - can't say fairer.... P
22. I recently sold a cab to Tremblap and can report that he is a good guy to deal with. Have to say though, that he is a persuasive character ! I was determined to sell my cab as collection only, however, he persuaded me to ship it to him Was glad to hear that the Epi was just what you were looking for, Pa Cheers, P
23. Dave_bass5 returned a Lakland bass to them and they refunded him more than he had actually paid for it. Turned out the prices had increased since he bought it. Poor fella was devestated I use this example when explaing to my wife that buying a bass can be an excellent investment ! P
24. Sold a cab to Jake a while back and have to say he was very east to deal with - a quick decision to buy and even quicker payment BTW: Happy 18th today, dude P
25. Have had a few very successful transactions with Homer in the past and met him yesterday for the first time. Al's posts on Basschat are always entertaining and it was a pleasure to meet up and have a beer (mind you, he was on soda water). Transactions are always smooth and hassle free Good luck mate..
