    Ampeg V4BH, 100 watt valve bass head. This one is American made and is in excellent working order having benefited from a recent re-valve with Ruby Tubes. It's had a knock to the case on the back but this has never bothered me and is normally gaffer taped up etc. I'm firm at £490. Located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Collection only. Many Thanks Alex

    Ha! no not me. I bought it off an excellent bloke from basschat! I'm sorely tempted to keep hold, as i preffer it over a 1990's SVT Ampeg 810 I had, but it needs to be gigged not sat in a living room...

    Hi, The 115 cab is quite different sounding to the 210. The 115 is slightly bigger and has a suprisingly bright sound coupled with some really deep lows. I find the 210 really warm and together they fill out the spectrum nicely. Obviously its just opinion but if you've ever mic'd up cabs to record in a studio, these two can be blended together to get some really classic sounds.     I used one of these as my main giging amp for three years! 60 plus gigs i reckon. Best running this beast at 4ohms. I had an Ampeg SVT 2x10 and an 1x15. Too many speaker magnets will sap its power etc. Also you can bridge the two channels so you can get best of the highs and lows. It took me a while to get best out of this amp but once your there you'll not want to part with it.

    Definately Jazz bassed! Got the ampeg stack and been playing a Jaguar, which has a similar pickup setup. But i'm thinking there must be something else... for just a touch more growl? Perhaps a Tech 21 VT? Perhaps im just imagining it lol Thanks Alex
