I used to sorta play 20 years ago, hadn't picked up anything since then. With the plague on, I needed something to keep my brain active and went on to craigslist and picked up a 2013 silver Jaguar that had been modded with a split single-coil Precision Bass middle pickup paired with a growling Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup, which pretty much makes any sound I could want. Just restrung it with the 105 gauge Ernie Ball cobalt strings and good night I'm in love with this thing! Been using tabs to get my fingers moving and about to start actually learning scales again. Having an app on my phone to tune this thing is nothing short of Star Trek. I remember one guitarist in our band way back had a box he paid a small fortune for that did tuning for us. Now, I just select what tuning I want and in just a few minutes I'm ready to go! Love playing old punk songs from my high school days. I torture myself trying to play Nick Oliveri parts from Rated R and Songs for the Deaf. Dude has mental health and anger issues, but Jeebus he can flipping play!
