3.
Wow that is spooky.I just started reading this post with interest as the same thing just happened with our PA.What kind of speakers?? Peavey Pro-15s! Both horns gone at once. They're less than a year old as well. We've also got a gig on the 23rd,and I'm hoping the replacements will be here tomorrow.
yes +1 on the pro 15's... So whats the moral of this tale... avoid Peavey Pro-15's possibly? G...
I had one a while ago which did this, it sounded to me like a built in compressor.
I cant recall seeing any mention of this in the instruction leaflet which was limited to say the least... but it seems like its trying to protect the speaker in some way... 5. I have and Orange crush 35B for home use and it has a wierd problem that might be nothing at all. When you play a note it seems like it has a limiter and the note is slightly muted then the volume goes up, it all occurs in a split second and is not an issue when im playing along to something .... but I know its there so it pisses me off... any suggests whats up? G...

 15.
I think its obvious that the text isn'tisnt talking about this specificific bass so you could be right, but there has been a lot of talk about this on TB and apparently Musicians friend might also have put this pictureprematurelyerly as they have done it before. Time will tell.
To be honest I really hope so because I like that bass and would be well up for owning one... I was at one point contemplating buying a LPB and getting it re finished, but thats silly expensive!!
 16. Hate to rain on everyones parade but the text of that add states that its a LPB so I suspect thats a mockup!
 17.
Have you ever tried setting fire to a whippet?
Yes but dont tell the RSPCA... they frown on that kind of behaviour regardless of how cold it is and how far north you live...!!
 18. Ive quite fancied a Sansamp RBI and power amp setup for ages but have never seen anyone use this arrangement, I play in a pub band doing rock and blues covers, would this work for me? What power amp would be a good compromise, good quality with reasonable cost? I dont need vast power. Graeme
 19. I am about to inherit an early 80's Ampeg valve Bass amp (sorry, dont know which model), its been lying unused and unloved for many years. My question is, are these amps worth the time and effort to give them a new lease of life? Are parts still readily available? Will I end up with a good sounding reliable bass amp? Graeme

 22. First Bass was a Fender Musicmaster, which I got in a straight swap for an Antoria Strat copy, wish I still had it... Many years later and I took up playing bass again and bought an old Rickenbacker 4001 and Yamaha fretless... sold both and bought a MiM 62 re-issue Jazz... great guitar. I also have a Jap Precision which is in bits but will soon see action again with a badass and seymour duncan and a refinish. I just sold a Warwick streamer st1 which goes south on Wednesday, I also seem to have inherited my singers mex precision which is not a bad guitar and gets played at most practices... I've owned one or two others including a really nice Ric copy and a couple i'd rather not remember. G...

 24.
It has become an auction and it's because of that, that it now is against the spirit and, I think, the rules of Basschat. Has anyone asked a moderator to have a look and, if necessary, delete the thread?
I always assumed that an auction was when goods were offered at zero$ and people would then bit up to what they thought it was worth... In this case I have said what I want for it and no one is prepared to pay me that... so where do I go from there? and why are you bothered about it? Peace...
 25.
Its not about the right price, its about the mark-up. The man can ask the full RRP on an SS1 and no one would give a flying monkey. I'm on about not reciprocating the good deal that they enjoyed when they purchased the bass here on BC.
Well I didnt buy it on here... argument over...!
